CS pre-1.0 beta versions were pretty mad back then (yes, I'm old). Whacky features and tweaks came and went and much hilarity (and whining) was going around every new version.

IMO CS:S is still good fun but since they removed some of the potentially silly stuff like moving hostages around and started to take itself too seriously it went downhill. Prepare to get your ass handed back to you if you take the plunge now.

I snatched SimCity 4 Deluxe and some other various good bits lately from Steam sales.

Anyone tried SpaceChem yet? I'm hearing rave reviews.

Pretty much this. Reading back Sony's history, the current company is on a completely different mindset. Scare tactics and lawyers instead of trying to make something worthwhile. No wonder their stock price and reputation is going down the drain.

Ok, question time for a change.

Had a long shoot today with a first-timer model. Very exhausted (not because of the model, she was great) afterwards as I had done very little shooting this year because of my day job burnout.

Anyone else having tough time getting on tracks after a long or short hiatus from behind the camera?

Cool camera but don't know why I'm not feeling the 35 mm f2 look. I've had my eye on the Nikkor 35 f2 for a while but having trouble finding shots that would make me pull the trigger. Nikkor 35 mm f1.4 is another matter and way too expensive for me .

I'm kinda mixed about the film stuff too. I'd either take the crappiest stock and worst optics and wrong processing or super smooth medium format look but between those it's kinda dead for me.

Pretty much this except no carrier or manufacturer hubs. WinMo7 is pretty amazing OS by the way. Super slick and so different look and feel from plain old iOS or Android's ugly mess.
