Certain mods cause hits similar to those caused by bad lag. Some modders keep the original LFS bounding box, but the majority don't, and this affects the collision boxes online and locally. This can screw up bumper to bumper races and police chases (Not that anyone cares about that here)

Yes, thats exactly what happens, and i've seen it far too many times.

Maybe there is another way to do this, if the X,Y and Z values of the 3d model are send to the server and they do not match with those of the LFS cars, then the action will be taken.

I highly doubt that any of the hundreds of illegal mods that have been released already have the same poly count as the LFS cars. Also, decreasing the poly count would mean bad quality cars, so modders are unlikely to decrease the polycount to one as low as the LFS cars.

I was thinking that it should be a server option to ban players who are using vob mods. This could be done by the server detecting the number of polys of a clients car and comparing it to the number of polys that that car should have. If the numbers do not match, the player gets a ban. I think this could be added quite easily, and it will stop vob mods ruining gameplay for those who have not modded the game.

I used to race competitions at this track, and the lap record is a 24:86

So the track ought to be a bit longer to make it more accurate, but other than that, nice job

In my opinion, the reason why there has been no official statement from the LFS devs is that they don't want to have a scirocco repeat. If they announce it, then are unable to release it for whatever reason, then there will be a bunch of angry noobs saying 'OMG where is teh Scirocco??!!11!!'

I think they've learned a lesson from the scirocco, not to announce possible new content until it is in a release-able state. So let's stop arguing about whether it's real or not, it's not going to make any difference in the long run.

Yeah, i had that problem when i reduced the power, but if the devs made it with a standard sequential gearbox, that wouldnt be a problem.

I suggest that a Formula V6 car be added to LFS to bridge the large gap between the F08 and the FOX. I've been experimenting with tweak, and a formula car similar to the F08 but with around 280-300bhp is a lot more user friendly than the F08, but a lot faster than the FOX. It would provide some more interesting racing on tracks like westhill, as its basically just flat out all the way in the FOX

Ive used the free trail already, and i have a laptop for easy use on the go, as a desktop is not practical for me. Even if i enable AA, there is no change as the GFX card is on its lowest setting anyway
