Two more. Also updated first post with suggestions from previous post and this one.
  • Thinner layer of the tread on slick tyres. It will prevent overheating R1's, make R3/4 easier to heat up, reduce the number of laps that can be driven, make wheels lighter(?).
Right now you can push on 110% only in the end of tyres' life. However this concerns current LFS version 0.6J.
  • Intake Restriction - as Tristan Cliffe said long time ago, it should keep low/mid revs all torquey and weaken power at higher revs.
Feel free to add your easy to implement wishes here. Ciao.

Here are 3 another whishes, and one is canceled in first post.
  • Various number plate types to choose, not only UK type. For ex. EU, US or another countries where LFS is popular.
  • Several, like 3 or 4 optional tyre dimensions (xxx/yyRzz), within same overall wheel size - for personal taste in race/rallycross/rally/rain...? Smile
  • Proper trailing arm movement.

Scawen please don't be sad. It's just a few haters barking loud for many LFSers who appreciate your work, but remain silent.

My approach is, that unknown people are not able to offend me over internet.

In profiler I have all artificial effects at 0%, 102% FF power. In LFS 20-40% depending on car. FF in LFS is really good, in simulating heavy GTRs without power steering Wink
My Little Wishlist

Hi, here are some little ideas/dreams I had in my mind over many years. I think they are pretty easy to implement, and will increase impression of LFS Smile
  • Doppler effect for horn and tyre squeak [✔ thx]
  • Some kind of blur or another texture for spinning wheels
  • More mid/high range smooth potholes, asymmetrical waves, ruts on some roadish tracks, to give suspension some work and to thrown off car balance
  • Tugging ignition cut-off
  • Kick forward, instead of kick backward when up-shifting sequential gearboxes
  • More aggressive and within lower revs turbo kick-in
  • Power steering simulation in some cars - the spring effect is killing me
  • Less influence of wind from back in cars with wings - I think wings doesn't do same aero job when reversed
Enjoy my magnum opus up there, greetings! Wink

EDIT: added things from posts #7, #8.

Scawen could you update 1st post and thread subject with new test patches? I wasn't aware of then until now I spotted your posts by a chance.

Kerbstones are very brutal. Looks like car does not drive on them, but wheel is teleported 10cm up. Everything except this minor glitch is just FAN-TA-wait for it-DARY Big grin

Electronic question - How to build analog fan tachometer?

Hi!
I'm noob at eletronics, but I want to build/buy a device with frequency/voltage converter, to grab impulses from a proper fan wire, and send it as a constant voltage to simple voltmeter like this, but with lower scale:

I need to get preview of 3x120mm fans I've mounted recently. Their wires are to short, so they are plugged into random connectors all over motherboard, at max speed, it's noisy. I already ordered a cheap device to control their rpm by one potentiometer Smile

Here's another exemple:

I would be grateful for any help.
Cheers!

Thanks for tips guys. Fixed red wire and it's all ok now.

Potentiometer on the right side was loose by 1-2mm but it doesn't cause any problems yet.

Hello, I cannot find a very nice thread with repair guide of G25 H-pattern malfunction when in 4th or 6th gear.

It's a known problem with electric pots/paths wear out. When you put 4th gear in, it send 2nd gear signal after few secs. Same is with 6th>4th gear.

There was a great topic with pics, how to repair this thing but I can't find it anymore

Hi, when my forum account was suspended by the bacteria of political correctness I had an acces to moderation part of the forum, where are infos about bans etc. between mods and devs.
Now I am free again and it's hidden for me.
Just saying, have a nice day.

Quote from Matrixi :Would be really nice if clicking a thread title would take you to the last unread post, like it did on the old forum.

In old forum it worked only if you clicked thread on main site. When you entered any subforum, and then the thread, you end up on the first post.

What's wrong in that pic? I can't see any glitches there.

Tested Red-Cyan glasses.
It's hard to get eyes used to true screen width (23" on-desk lcd ~510mm width). Less than natural pupils spacing set doesn't make much difference.
Interiors and flying cones&tyres looks awesome!

It's easier to get used (feels like eyes need to be crossed in red-cyan mode too), and with less red artifacts over 1000mm, and even close to 5000mm screen width, but perhaps 3D effect is worse.

On a side note, I'm not sure, if new 3D modes need some 'medical' warning or somtheing? Just in case?

I was suprised how well it worked and how easy it was to set up, took literally 2 minutes. In that video he seems to have something similiar.

How to make it work? I edited cfg file after Help menu, Wifi ON, nothing happens

Someday when I was playing with Tweak, I've found out that LFS engine is very, very flexible. As you pointed, it adapts to lower power, but not for every car.
