well if you know the WR than you can say if your trainee is horrible, had a bad day, not bad, usable, good, excellent...
it was meant to provide short handed info... while on track u know?
:wtf2: how come that one of the first things that come in mind is that a demo-user has done sth he/she shouldn't have done (i.e) using cracks?
anyway he doesn't need to be licensed to generate *.lyt files.
Assume he's just good in reverse engineering and programming...
me as a ignorant say that such file has some header, coordinates, and a bunch of variables like what been placed at x,y,z,rotation maybee some sort of crc signature and what track has to be present to apply layout...
That should pretty much do the trick.
my opinion if anyone is interessted is that mostly i get "shot" because i think that when i'm in front for a corner and some faster (mean that) hotshot hasn't the patience to wait for a safe opportunity to pass by (as lapper or not, no difference) and kicks me like a surgeons trick, just sets me up...
or a newbie, me included on certain tracks, shoot another one by accident, while greedy for slipstreaming, is really hard to transport that this wasn't intentional to your opponent in the heat of the moment or whilst open road.
Sometimes it's pure ignorance against the others, then i think they'll adapt and respect my move of overtaking till their turn comes up.
Or i expect racers to be economic liners but boom get boned from right side, while maintaining the middle of the oval round.
in these moments i think WTF?, cause most racers drive the slight-same-line anyway, so why did he forget that i'm still next to him?
§16 - General race
§16A - The front car has always right to chose it's line trough a corner. If "T-Boned" by another driver, that driver will be punished (real FIA regulation).
§16B - The inside car (if alongside) has the right to chose line when exiting corner. Even if this means "pushing" another car of track (real FIA regulation). This rules is badly written in FIA's rules, and by no means endorse physical contact.
(so if your the leader trough T1, YOU OWN THAT ROAD)
Partially incorrect, you could increase your field of view to sth around 100-130° (the human FOV) to see the sides better.
Downside is, you can't see your far front very well, as it's fourther away (or just smaller rendered).
So i'd state that "b)" relates directly to your mentioned "d)" cause if you can't see the leader on one of your side due to static view, then you can't completely held for "T-Boning".
looks painted, sorry, but imo it doesn't look as if the dirt actually has a "body" and thats not what i meant to get.
see dirt should at least look like a crispy surface some bumps bigger than others sure.
but you have the 3ds skinning advance.
me cant just add the lfs-skin unchanged to the mesh of the car and automaticly looks as known...
maybee not such a good example but this (attach.) looks awesome to me.
and if you can guess what it is i'll post the other pics.
this low fps-thing only seem to happen if AA/AF is active, and the lfs-window is actaully "visible" and not completely covered by any other programm.
it only affects the graphic-section of lfs, as the races happen in their regular speeds.
for example a 5 lap bl gp race takes around 5 minutes, if the window is covered or not.
so sorry if this is well known.
any ideas?
EDIT: problem soved due to fresh driver for my x700pro inst.
6-1_xp-2k_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_29602.exe
ok for the personal training, but imo the ai-ignorance can be dealt with, cause they usually drive the same lines (with minor changes) and use the same breakpoints.
But you can't predict a humans driving-style if you see these people the first time...
So how long could the AI training take? (answer from dev would be appreciated)
easy... ha
ok then go and make me a dirty cube in 800x600 please.
how to render isn't the question (press a button).
it's composing a scene...
and more important using light.
it's not just ref...
it's the very small details like some dust on the skin.
remember the stir when the fzr with rain ON it was shown?
now imagine a car with dirt on it like after a offroad race.
is there a chance to use mouse+keys AND 2 analog devices for throttle/brake?
cause afaik you have to choose between mouse/keys or wheel/joystick...
the cause of this? hm, i find it a bit frustrating to have limited control over gas/brake but very precise control with the steering.
so i came across to use some old joypad potentiometers with their orig. control-boards.
this would be a bit fiddling sure but i'd like to try it, it's better than clatter on my mouse to emulate a smooth de-acceleration.
thx for suggestions except those "go buy a wheel, HAR HAR".
you "tried me" thats what you get.
besides how much sense would a polished rim make in real race conditions?
you change the whole wheel @ pitstops, and what happens to these rims?
Do they get new rubber or get dumped?
i don't know, thats why i ask... SO FLAME ME IF YOU WANT (not you in special)
some time-eating job is to nurb the helmet in a boolean op, while under Boolean-nurb edit the mesh, open and manually close polygons again.
or give it to me, cause i don't have the helmet.
and the body of the driver too please.
wat did you try to explain? fantastic image or som realistic image?
ok, low polygons for the rims (my problem too...), white reflecting underground...(?) never seen that in real.
The helmet....LOL use a Hypernurbs too make it softer.
Golden "polished" rims? make them matte, looks more real.
the headlights are too dark, if you'd drive at nights, you loose too much light to the dark glas.
