Quote from Töki (HUN) :Horrible. I'm one of those who say it didn't look _that_ bad, but remember Dale Earnhardt's crash, that didn't look half as bad and we all know how it ended. I've seen much worse crashes in NASCAR yet people got out without a scratch. Unlucky situation. :tombstone

Didn't Dale Earnhardt had heart attack or some other health problem just right before his crash?

Your um... suggestion is a bit pointless... unless you're comparing a real life stock car and LFS default setup car, but even having amateur rally car in real life, most of manufacturers makes their dedicated suspensions for actual car you want are mainly a little understeery and you cannot set them as freely as it is in LFS unless you have very expansive suspension which costs half or even its price is same as car price (well there is also some chinese cheap suspensions with full customization).

From the other side realistic gravel physics will be nearly as complex as new tire physics so its really hard to make soft ground with some randomly moving gravel under your wheels which costs you loosing your grip and causing understeer.

Im not writing it to "hate", im just writing this to inform you how hard it will be to make it very soon, and im not saying current physics are perfect (though its nicest from every sims I've played) but lets just let them finish new tire physics first and hopefully they will try with gravel physics .

Well the main problem of his arm is not the movement or speed that much, but well... yes... its about space for movement. I've readed some of his interviews and he sayed the biggest problem for him to drive a F1 car is how small cockpit single seaters have (and also that part of F1 car made for putting a HANS in is very limiting the arm movements). Its diffrent in rally or a DTM car because he have more space to move his whole arm so basically Rallying is for practicing and keeping him still on the pace on the top level, and when he's not rallying he's working on his arm to make it as much working good as possible.

In another interview he sayed he could even make a tests in real F1 car on some kind of tracks and here im gonna quote him: "If i would have to drive F1 car in f.ex. Barcelona race track i can do it even tomorrow but at the current situation Iam not able to drive on tracks like Monaco on the top level, and I need (hopefully) one more year to drive on that track as quick as i can"

Edit: also I've heard some rumours that Mercedes is building a single seater as much close to F1 as possible especially for him to make some more and more testings.

I guess that post race wreck cost you lot of time and positions...

But seriously, protest about post race wreck is just ridiculous because i don't understand what you've lost by that... like Deko and others dont have anything better to do... Can you guys discuss that things on private, and let admins/race directors decide about what happened at last laps of the race?
(and please do not respond on my question because there was enough sayed about this incidents)

Well in present time racing and LFS leagues such as GT1WS i think there's only a few top team teams (like top 3 or maybe top 5) which try's to develop something totally new or atleast tweak already existing setups.

Tools like that is a good thing for a outsiders/newcomers teams and some teams from the middle of the grid. I mean if you are on their situation and have no clue about setup making tool like that is really usefull because only thing to do is download a setup / stole someone else's hard work on the setup and practice hard on it and learn the car and track and you easly can get a good pace and get some really nice race result for that team.
And in this case someone in a team with setup knowledge is just useless.

But in top 3-5 it seems to be a diffrent thing:
It might look like getting a setup from a strongest team is enough to win a race but even top teams aren't that stupid and they know that one rule: "when you do not make a step forward, that means you really did two steps back by doing nothing".

Top teams and their setup makers / drivers are trying to make some an unbelievable things in their cars to get a bit better pace just to still keeping their leadership because not only thing of having good drivers and having a decent pace make builds up your team name as a top team. Here at highest level its not only work by drivers on a track to learn a set and improve their pace, its also hard work in garages and testing and developing new things to make us even that 0.1s faster which maybe give use a victory.

In present time I think top teams drivers / setup makers are on really high level of knowledge about setups if not even at same level, but with just their own philosophy of setup making or just diffrent driving style which makes them real artists of sim racing who makes more than just learning an existing setup.

Great 1st Twin, from like nearly last (15th-16th on 17 cars on grid) and finished 5th with a little chances for 4th.
Sorry Niko Puntola about that little side by side thing in last lap, i just moved down to inside line and you just cutted too much and you've got a bump from my doors, it wasn't any intentional or something, and thanks for some bumpdraft in the middle of the race
Also thanks to Kenneth O'Keefe for a drag race on the final lap and battleing for 5th place
Cant wait to Main race

some about how people see LFS:
I cant fully agree with imol this time, and I agree with you Isaac. People with skills should not only make a WRs but they also should Race sometimes and prove their epicness. But fact is, making many WRs like marus did here is a more "LFS wordwide prestige" than even driving and winning top leagues and thats sad. Anyway its easier for people to look at LFSW and see who and where has so many wrs than find points and standings from leagues. I think issiue its a fact that even top LFS leagues are much less "mainstream" than LFSW and WRs or MHRs. Top leagues info are not that "catchy" to find. Also peoples "mind projections" about lfs now its not to be best racer, but its + and - of LFS because it leaves you very free decisions on your LFS "carrer" so you can be drifter, you can be hotlapper, you can be suber best cruiser, or racer or lfs is just because you like to play it and no more above this.

And back to marus and his decisions about this:
Well its kinda hard to catch and talk with him about "hey come here and drive some leagues". Its always like "ok ok i will do next round with you guys" and 3-4 or 2-3 days before race "sorry i cant do this because of (and here put some good reason to not drive).
We dont know exact reason why he is like that but I've talked with him today and he informed me he did 200wrs and he probably could do 2-3 more today but his pedals are seriously damaged and quoting him "my wheel was designed to make only 200wrs ". He wants to find some replacement this month and he sayed when he finally make his dream about "bombing LFSW with WRs" come true he needs now some successfull runs in top leagues but this probably will happen when he will buy DF GT wheel around summer time. (atm. he's using some Logitech wingman or something worse and maybe without FFB).
But I cannot guarantee you he will be around for some serious racing in summer or little after when some serious league will start probably.
Only thing we can do about seeing him in a serious race is waiting and hoping...

Finally, 200 WRs

I remember him in old days (i think even early 2010) that he wanted to make a "combo brake" like he did today and as far as i remember he was doing something like 1 WR per day (well sometimes he didn't make any wr daily and other day he was doing 3-4 wr's per day if it was easy to him and depending on IRL free time ofc.) so he was "collecting" them for a quite long time.
Not sure about it but i think he's "target" thing might be to hold 200 WR's at once

No, only MRT, BF1, Scirocco and FBM are based on in real life cars and they are fully licenced ones.
Others are a fictional cars but with some kind of similarity to a real life cars for example: XRT kinda looks like mistubishi starion but its not a licenced ingame car.
You can find some similarity in other cars like XFG is looking like seat ibiza in front but mixed with citroen AX rear.

edit: It's also very similar situation to GTA games series where you have to drive a car named patriot but you know its a hummer.

Quote from vistaman :Lol... EA needs 1 year to create a whole game with 100+ cars and 70tracks (Shift2) and LFS Dev's need 3 Years for 1 Car, 1 Track and New Tire Physics.

Win.

I think you never ever played Need For Speed World (online and in theory and half in reality free game)

In game which i just mentioned they are same slow or even worse than LFS devs, their latest patch contained game fixes which didn't fixed those things and made game code less stable so game was crashing after every 10min's.
But atleast they have just greatest patching method ever made by human:
start positions sucks, every second player uses ultra giga speed hack and EA didnt realised how to make things better but they way to fix it is to make another new cars which is shit and you have to pay umm... 5-7$ for just own this one car and you never know how good car is if you dont buy it.
And when you buy it then you realise this car is same fast or even slower than your best tuned "free" car and you have 5-7$ less in pocket spend on useless car in week but well commercialised game.

I did some more driving today and i think at FE1R there will be possible to achieve nearly same laptimes as XFR or maybe even UFR WR times.
Also this is a hard situation because XFR and UFR in your league are restricted so they are even slower by this porbably around 0.3s +/-. Anyways nGT's has better acceleration so it will be disturbing to make a good run for GTR's.
From other side GTR's has so much grip and comparing to nGTs its faster like 10km/h to even around 20km/h per turn. GTR driver only has to keep highest possible speed and holding throttle pedal for 80%/90% of lap but a nGT driver has to be just an alien in his car to achive GTR's pace. Also Im worried it could make problems when comes to turns:
xr4 can go in T1 on fe1r like mad from 190km/h and just lift throttle and put full again into apex without losing any traction and coming thru T1 with minimum speed of 150km/h next turn is possible around 140km/h, comparing this to even non restricted nGT its like:
slowing hardly from 200kmh (in restricted is 190 but it doesnt matter) and going into T1 with 140km/h with really really hard work. I think I've tryied to make quick enough T1 in XFR like 10-15 times (yes that much times i was out from track after t1) before I learned how to drive it "quick" and still was 15km/h slower than GTR.
Sorry for my text Wall to you but in short: im not sure how it will be at fast tracks but on FE1R it looks like one will just disturb other to make a clean lap without contact (in that slow and easy to drive cars like GTR any contact can ruin whole race).

Im not going to make your league down or sth, I've just did some Testing for you .
Just think about it, test more and how you will make it is up to you

I've used new restrictions and my infamous FE3 GT3 setup for XRR,
and i did 40.94 with shit cambers at your test combo FE1R on XR4.
and there is something to cut from that time cos i didn't make any serious retune from GT3.

Edit: btw this league can be nice if you make it as a sprint races with small tracks with much turns but:
Tracks has to get more than turn left (allusion to FE1R) just because very important inside tyres will be ice cold (black) after 1h race

I like the idea of 1250kg's mass to all cars, just like old (or still present) WRC (and probably not only WRC) and I wonder why nobody didnt invented this in LFS GT leagues before.
Ive tried fzr and XRR with those restrictions for like 10min's and tbh it will be like TBO class speeds or sth around with R2 tyres and downforce and very much grip.
That grip is like on Arcade games to me, im not sure about top speeds but they will be around 210km/h (220km/h hopefully but im not sure if possible).
racing with those speeds on fast tracks like westhill can be boring or it can be crash fest. Cars have so much grip and they are slow so there will be no "waiting for others mistakes". It will be more like who first will die from boredom.
Anyway it could be interesting to see something like gt2/3 or something between them like gt2,5 with this 1250kg's limit.
Edit: also i dont see any point why someone will drive nGT cars here.

Well most top teams in top leagues uses pretty much same setups or taken from World records. Actually only a few teams are trying to develop a new and faster set than current wr one but rest of the top leagues teams is driving same wr setup and diffrence between really top LFS drivers is not bigger than 0.3s from wr. It also depends so much from a driver motivation - some are taking it really seriously some are just racing for having fun and what car/track they prefer.

Well im here just to congratulate the winning team of this race, great job ineX

I also think (dont get me wrong) like whole gt2ws season or nearly was just driving without special "working" and practicing for most of your victiories( in gt2ws) but today I have a feeling that you really worked for this win and this was probably yours top class style win of the year atm.
I can not just say you've got good luck this time, it really looked like well deserved victory .
