I think it is about adding two more options to server not pernament banning everyone with less than 40 or 50 fps:
- Ping limit
- FPS limit
Thats all - there will be a lot of servers allowing You to join with slide show and connection problems but for those who want clean pure experience there will be few servers with these options enabled. If You have too slow PC and internet than You will get information that You can't join it and when You will buy better hardware You will be free to race on them.
And on that forum there are always people who made things bigger then they are in real...
I said You have to:
1. See
2. Predict
3. React
when You race with others - You said all You have to do is to Predict - but how do You want to do so if You can't see what is happening on track?
First: You have to be retarded to don't know how to drive on rain,
Second: In real racing You can't predict if tarmac on next corner is clean, maybe wind brought some dust/sand on track, maybe one of the car lost some oil and You have to react in time. Of course LFS does not support things like these but still You can't base Your driving on predicting only.
If You are so great clairvoyant then You can turn off Your monitor and drive with closed eyes.
Below i attach little explanation why i think drivers with very slow PCs are dangerous
Bullshit! Nothing under 25 fps is playable. I have limited fps to 15 and You can't catch any oversteer in time, You have to drive about 10 second slower on lap to be able to predict how car will behave because You can't see what is happening to Your car in present, there is about 0.0667 s delay between every frame + time of Your reaction + delay in steering (which is greater than normal - A LOT!) gives You about 0.25 - 0.3 second too late reaction.
And when You play online with others You have to see and predict correct route of other cars driving along with You, and when You drive over 150 kph (every car in LFS can reach that speed) even small move of Your controller changes line that Your car is driving on too much to see it in time and react to it with 15 fps!
30 fps is playable but only offline, 40 fps is enough to go online but not anything under it. Even when You switch from 40 fps to 60 You can still see huge diffrence. And as cargame.nl said there should be option to set ping limit on server as in America's Army for example, but as we know LFS is outdated in everything and i don't think anything will change...
(First guy)Haven't You noticed 3rd and 4th screenshot in first post (Fern Bay + XRR)
(Second guy) or You are the same person or i have no idea what makes You people so dumb to post cracked content on official forum
He is posting S2 content for 3 weeks now and still not banned, i really don't care if they ban him or not, and as i said before: it just proves that developers are dead (i pray not) or they have us so deep in their asses so they can feel us in their throats...
Join host with alive players it's great fun to fight others, don't worry about Your skills not everyone is LFS God and there are always some slower players to fight with. And if You don't have setups there are kind players who will send You their setups Hope to see You online soon!
Ok i have found one more floating barrier on Aston - it is on fast chicane (the other one that Flame posted) + i want to remind about surface bug on one of the U turns.
PS: I think it would be great if whole track bug section was cleared and locked and there would be only 7 topics each one for whole track (for example: Blackwood Bugs, South City Bugs etc.). Anyone who have found bug would post his bug in specific thread and there would be less mess.
Same here, but i have found thread with this bug and it's - prepare - TWO YEARS OLD and its still not fixed , nobody even said why it happend cause it might be not track bug but some graphic card or driver problem. Anyway there is at least one more place like that on Blackwood.
As in Title, barrier on one of the cornsers hangs in air a little, it is most visible on revers tracks ( Sprint 2R, City Long R, Town Course R ).
Below are screenshots:
When You plug in wheel in LFS menu in Axes/FF (it is in control section) You will see all avaible axes on right side of Your monitor. Press throttle, break and cluch to see what are the names of axes resposible for each action. Then simply click left mouse button on Function (Steer, Throttle, Break, Cluch etc.) then choose Axis from Axis list on right. Then when You apply Your break and insted of breaking driver in LFS will release break that means You have to invert Axis to do so You have to just Left Click on Invert Button 0/1.
I hope that helps You!
I have made one more picture.
I used Vilantes skins on cars, You can find them here: http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=31067
Idea was to make "dramatic" fight at night.
So what do You think about it?
