Wasn't debating the fact that his figures are bullshit, was more just pointing out that different chassis/drivetype/overall weight/weightdistrubution/suspension type/gear ratios/diff ratios/torque/powercurve all play a part in a quarter mile time, outright HP means ****all.

Not nesacerily true, a lot of factors come into play, even if we're not counting driver.

Sticky tyres, Shiftkit, A decent LSD and 300+hp in a soarer will net a high 12 with a good launch.

If its remapped have they upped the boost?

If so, it could be possible that more boost you're hearing the turbo has just gotten louder, or because of the more boost its made a slight air leak, in which case coming onto boost will sound like one of those party-whistle thingies that you blow in to.
