never doubted something good was in the works but I didn't expect something that good

1 - Never ever put the car in neutral and let it roll
2 - Like said in the previous post, use the track more so you can turn faster into corners
3 - Be gentle with the wheel, actually, with everything. Slow down before entering a corner and start accelerating while taking the corner, halfway through the corner you should be able to use the full throttle again

Maybe watch some people racing for a while and see how smooth they are

no way ps1 could handle LFS.. I would say the ps1 controller and the tv are plugged to a pc

Congrats on the new house Scawen. Last time I moved was 12 years ago and I still remember the pain it was. I eventually got over it and I'm ready to move again someday

Quote from Danas :I was also driving around, and saw this (look at the drivers body in the first pic):

reported oh so many times and it's not Z10 specific.. It's supposed to be like that I guess

Installed the windows 7 beta (btw lfs works fine with it).

I copied my LFS folder (which was active as S2) from my Vista hdd to the 7 one, started up the game and as I was expecting, LFS was in demo state.

So far so good, but since the last car I had chosen was the BF1 and I didn't activate my LFS in Windows 7, when I chose a track and hit GO in order to start a race, I got BL1 displayed with an error message "car error". Again, so far so good, I did shift+p to open the pits, chose XFG and joined the race again, from the pit lane.

The problem was "car error" was still displayed on the screen and it wouldn't go off. I know this problem shouldn't be Z10 specific but I guess it's worth fixing and it shouldn't take more than a couple minutes

I think it's intended to make LFS green, saving fuel while idle

Quote from UnknownMaster21 :what means Random FZ5 setups?

Sorry I ask this because I do not know about what´s the point of this "bug". Or is it?

two FZ5 setup files were created in the LFS folder in patch Z8

Number plate goes into the bodywork

are you sure you didn't crash into something? I've just checked and it's fine

Quote from Coneman :I Don't know if it's really a bug.
Maybe it's a known "old" problem which was already posted. I just drove some laps on BW in the TV view (Z6). Well i can't describe it that good. Looks like the racing line texture isn't exactly on the ground. Therefore it appears on the tires. Watch the screenshots. On the second picture only the reartire is on the racingline (green line).

that has been reported in the past but I think it's either that or having the optimal line under the ground

Quote from Luke.S :Lets hope we either get a test patch with it or Scawen was joking and it rly is coming tomorrow.

he doesn't do that kind of jokes

Race was restarting in CTRA Race 1 server, I switched fullscreen off to see if I had any new messages in wlm and LFS crashed.

The track was FE3 and I was using the XFG.

Unhandled exception at 0x6b785bf7 in LFS.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation writing location 0x0000045c.

Btw I'm running Xfire, don't know if that can mess with LFS, usually it doesn't

Quote from Luke.S :Perhapse you could release a test patch with the scirocco then we can find any bugs with it and help with the development process.

they probably have a deal with VW not to release the scirocco until it's perfect, hence not damaging the image people got from the VW brand or something.

I as eager to like drive the scirocco as anyone else but this thread is abut the Z5 test patch, not anything else

Not a problem for me, I've waited for so long I can wait a bit more.

We just need to keep helping Scawen testing the new builds as they are made available, making sure we get rid of all the bugs

Quote from wheel4hummer :That's how it works in real life too. ABS cannot be applied to the handbrake, but it attempts to apply it to the regular brakes, whether or not they are applied at all.

but if that was the case wouldn't the rear wheels "light up" in the F9 display while braking normally instead of just lighting up when you use the handbrake?
hda

if, while braking with ABS on you push the handbrake the rear wheels will light up in the tire temperature display (F9) like abs is being applied onto them while it is not.

Tried it with 95% brake balance in the front wheels, first didn't push the handbrake to confirm my assumption was correct and by the second time I did, creating a flatspot on the rear tires
