Don't know if this is possible but I'd like to have the pitch and rotate functions bound to keys in the same way as the zoom is bound to 5 and 6.

The reason is that I have this great projector setup in which I can see the dials through the top of the steering wheel like in a real car, but each time I change car I have to fiddle with the view to get the dials in the right place. Hotkeys would be a great help.

I want it to become huge! On other games there are thousands of servers with people playing. Want to race the LX6 at Westhill? choose one of the 20 nearly full servers running it that day. Doesn't that sound better than hotlapping alone because you're part of an 'exclusive' community?

I love this idea. I've always hated the whole setup business anyway. I know some people love the race-pit-tweak-race-pit-tweak game, but I just want to race on a level playing field.

Weeee! Had my first try at heel-toe this evening. I chose the LX6 to try it on. I think it's going to need a lot of practice but it's great fun and a new challenge. The LX6 is one hell of a car! We definately need some dedicated servers for this car.

So the G25 has been available for some time now and for most it will be the first time they've had the option of changing gear with a shifter and clutch. My question to the new G25 owners is - is this just a novelty, or are people really taking to the more realistic controls?

Do you have auto clutch disabled?
Are you slower now?
Is the shifter gathering dust because you've gone back to paddles?

Oh I know, sorry, I just couldn't resist posting, having just downloaded and tried rfactor for the first time......but......how does anybody ever even think of putting it in the same league as LFS? Never has a game been so quickly uninstalled from my PC, and never have I felt so relieved to fire up LFS and do a few laps.

Sorry for doubting LFS devs, I just had to know for sure!

I don't think I'll ever be at prize winning standard, but I love the idea that top racers could make money from their racing. People would certainly sit up and take notice of LFS then. I imagine a lot of press coverage and probably some known RL drivers giving it a go.

I don't know a great deal about racing, but I'm pretty sure that most drivers in real races are competing for some kind of reward. Winning really does matter because if they keep coming last, they won't win any prize money and they won't have a racing career for very long. When I go online on a normal public server I want to win but there is no reward. A new race starts 5 minutes later and any victory is forgotten. All I'm saying is that anything that increases the urge to win surely makes racing more enjoyable and keeps people engaged for longer. I would like to see LFS grow into a hugely recognised competetive activity. I remember reading about people making good money competing in international Quake tournaments. Couldn't LFS be the same?

BTW, has anybody ever offered a cash prize for a LFS race?

Just wanted to mention what a great addition the STCC is to LFS. I've only recently started racing on the STCC servers and I don't know why it should matter so much, but the idea that each race is a chance to score a few more points does make me want to strive to gain a better position. IMHO the system should be integrated into the game right out of the box and include all the car types.

Getting the new fox dashboard was like a receiving a great christmas present! There are a few other dash boards that could do with an overhaul. The UF1 dash and wing mirrors need the treatment.

Only really of interest to stereo 3d users but the z-value (depth) for the image in the mirrors is currently set to the position of the mirror. This means that the mirrors appear like little video screens that you 'look at' rather than mirrors that you 'look into'.

If this is easily fixable in a future release it would be most appreciated!
