I've experienced a little problem with the latest version (the one with the working shift indicator/top speed etc.)... In essence, the Turbo Pressure gauge lags quite badly. The other gauges work smoothly.
I'm on Win 7 Ultimate 32bit, if that matters. With the previous versions, it all worked like a charm...
(p.s. could you please make also widescreen resolution, e.g. 1280x768? That would be really nice =D )
EDIT: Problem sorted out now, IDK how, but it works xD
I see in your screenshot that you are using LFSTweak 0.4.1, that obviously says that it cannot find out which version is being used because it's outdated. Try downloading LFSTweak3.
So you have to use the configuration file that shaun463 posted.
You download the .zip or the .rar, unzip it and then load the file (lfsconfig_Z25.txt) from LFSTweak3 by clicking on "Preferences" (bottom of the screen) --> "Configuration file path" and then select the file in question.
Then you close all, start LFS and then start LFSTweak, change the values (remember that: Cartype #1: LX, RB4, FXO, XRT, RAC, FZ5; Cartype #2: UF1, XFG, XRG; Cartype #4: F BMW, F XR, F V8; Cartype #5: UF/XF/FXO/XR/FZ5 GTR; Cartype #9: BMW Sauber; Cartype #10: MRT5. Single Car settings don't work), then you go into LFS, (re)select the car you tweaked, and then... ENJOY!
Not that I'm trying to flatter you, but...
You're five or six, and you have a singer that can't really sing (I mean, "kind of sing" isn't really singing in my opinion) and a guitarist that's learning to play the guitar. I'm sorry, but in a month one can't learn how to sing or play a song by Queen... I mean, Freddie was one of the greatest singers in the world (and IMHO he still is), and Brian May is one of the guitarists with more taste in music.
Try something simpler like some Green Day, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, things like those (not THAT difficult to learn, and which have a great impact on the crowd).
In my band, we started (looooong ago) with Basket Case, Waiting, Holiday and Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day, and those songs worked well and we could learn them in a really small time, even if we weren't THAT good.
Then we went into some Guns N' Roses, then we changed genre to Progressive Metal (Dream Theather FTW) and finally to that mix of different genres that we call Alternative Rock/Metal (our own songs). But we started like you, with lots of ideas, lots of good intentions but not much knowledge in how to play an instrument.
So, in my humble opinion, you have to start from the basics, and one step after another arrive where you want to go.
I wish you all the best!
Yep, the configuration GUI matches exactly yours...
Looking at the offset in "LFSShifter V5.6 WITH", it stays at "0,00000000" but all is as usual, in the "[...] WITHOUT" it stay at "0" but... IT WORKS!
Version: 5.6, fresh install. LFS: Z25 Setup of the XRG: "AT", the one you posted. When it happens:
*Still (N selected) - Stays in N
*Still (R selected) - Stays in R
*Still (1st selected) - 1st, 2nd, 1st, 2nd...
*Moving with accelerator < 20% (1st selected) - 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th while going at almost the same speed.
*Moving with accelerator 20% < x < 60% (1st selected) - the car goes nuts (1st, 3rd, 4th, 2nd, 1st randomly).
*Moving with accelerator fully opened (1st selected) - the car goes like it's in Automatic Mode in LFS.
*Going backwards - OK Debug: When it changes into 2nd, it says "Mode: shiftup2" than "Mode: shiftdown1" and it changes into 1st.
I upload an .spr so I hope you'll understand better...
I try the all the situations, hope this helps...
Works ok in Italian, but I've noticed some mistakes with the translation.
For example:
"Per usare questo software, devi accettare le seguenti condizioni :"
should be
"Per usare questo software, deve accettare le seguenti condizioni:";
Then, in the paragraph that begins with "I contenuti DEMO...":
"Non devi cercare [...]"
should be
"Non deve cercare [...]"
Then, in the end, there's:
"Prego cliccare il pulsante verde "accetto" per continuare, o il pulsante rosso "esci" se non accetta."
which means
"Please click the green (?) button "Agree" to continue, or the red (?) button "Exit" if you don't agree."
and then should be
"Prego cliccare il pulsante "Accetto" per continuare o il pulsante "Annulla" per non accettare."
When you uninstall it, it says:
"Stai per rimuovere Live for Speed [...]"
and that should be
"Sta per rimuovere Live for Speed [...]"
And, finally:
"Puoi comunque decidere [...]. In questo caso potrai eliminarle [...]."
which should be
"Può comunque decidere [...]. In questo caso potrà eliminarle [...]."
It doesn't really work for me... I start LFS, the ATS, all the options are ok, I put it into 1st and... it jumps to 2nd, then to 1st, then to 2nd, then to 1st etc.
What can I do?
Yes it does. Download the latest configuration file (use the search function for that) and then in LFSTweak3 click Preferences --> Config. file path.
For me it works well, but of course Single Car Tweaks don't work =/
In the Wikipedia link that ldriver posted, there's your answer.
But, as I saw the "citation needed" flag, I searched more.
In the Mercedes Benz W116 (S-Klasse) page, I found this:
That's not me having comprehension problems, it's just you not knowing that a 4-channel ABS in a car that LOOKS '80s (but could be easily from the '90s) could be possible, if that system was introduced in a road car in 1978.
But that's an XRG/XRT related "problem". The other cars that have ABS are all from the '90s.
I don't see how on Earth someone could say that the RB4, the FXO and the FZ5 are '80s cars. And the XR could just have an old-fashioned look.
Please, stop complaining about ABS. If you think you don't need it (because of your supernatural skills), just TURN IT OFF.
If you think that's just an advantage for the others that use ABS, and you notice that they can do a lap faster than you, than TURN IT ON AGAIN! (WOW, Genesis quote!)
I have a little problem...
I've always used LFSTweak with the plain Z, and that worked like a charm.
Now, I've finally downloaded LFSTweak3, LFS 0.5 Z20 and the Z20 configuration file for LFSTweak. It works well with all cars, but if I try to edit the single-car values, it doesn't affect the performance of the car.
I've tried with an XF, selected "cartype 2" and changed some values. Then I wanted to make the engine a V8 instead of a straight-8, and then turbocharge it. I clicked on "Single Car #1", changed the values, pressed Enter, then I clicked on "Apply", switched to LFS and... nothing happened.
The tweak applied only the values I changed in Cartype mode.
