ehm i agree i braked a little late and had to go wide and hit d.lobb (he himself went a little bit wide too tho) while turning, causing him to lose control (it actually helped him to avoid the main crash and gain 2 positions ) and i take blame for that
but i dont rly think i triggered the main crash

dont rly care tbh
so im not appealing

Quote from J@tko :Well, technically deko's regulation is that the number is on the nose, but the '82' was sideways and so not completely on the nose of the car. The skin therefore is invalid

Anyhow, lets get back to the racing, rather than faffing about with skins too much, as, after all, thats what we're here for

lol
dont say my car wasnt recognisable enough XD

Quote from Dizzydarryn :Thats great going... ive just tried to match u and the best i could do was a 57.7 but i ran wide and onto dirt on that lap, did a 30.3 1st sector (dunno if thats any good) but i reckon i only lost 1/10 or so.

The i tried a full race distance with race fuel (obvously) and 15kg ballast. my best lap was a 58.24 on lap 16...

I then got bored and decided to watch the motogp on about lap 19 or so...

Do think the tyres will last, i just wrecked mine by continuelly locking up the fronts!

mm i go in the dirt almost every time in last turn
and yea 30.3x is nice
best i had was 30.19, dont ask me how :s

Quote from J@tko :How the f**k???!!! I stuggle to get low 1.00s with that set!!!!

the trick is to slide the car a bit in the slower corners
with high revs in low gears

last corner is very important

heres a replay if its any help

Quote from AndroidXP :The hotter it gets, the less torque it will be able to transfer. If you extremely overheat it you won't be able to move the car anymore, as too little torque is transmitted from the engine to the wheels. A slightly overheated clutch doesn't have a big effect on laptime, though. The first thing you'll notice when it gets hotter is the revs needing longer to drop down after a shift.

u just made me doubt about what went wrong in the race again >_<
i didnt throttle cut on upshift as far as i remember
hard to see in the mpr
and i didnt have a WHOLE lot of "popcorn"-sounds coming from the engine

Hi,

im kinda new to LFS
and i just did my first "longer" race
which i was winning untill something in my car broke down and my laps began to be slower o_o

im still not sure what excactly broke (i think its my engine) and have no clue what i was doing wrong

heres a link to the mpr (my ign = menTaL):
http://files.mlbox.be/1hrace.mpr
it starts becoming noticable at around lap 13

also..
what are the effects on laptimes and engine/clutch-wear of throttle blipping on downshift and thr cut on upshift?

ps: i use mouse, manual shift, autoclutch
ps2:are there any good leagues with weekly races for beginners which i can join?

cheers
