Looking forward to this mod!

It would be nice if we could delete tris by deleting the points directly without having to go to tri and then back to point mode.

LFS Editor crashed few times when I click reload textures in map mode (wire). It doesn't happen every time, 4 times in the last few days. The screenshot attached is taken at the moment of the crash.

Exception Code: c0000005
Exception Offset: 000c2a54

Version 0.7D13

Edit: It just crashed again when I reloaded textures in map mode (with wireframe model enabled)

I have updated the interior (added leather texture). Smile

I'm gonna update it tomorrow (interior textures mostly) and I also need to move the driver to the left a bit. Like I just updated the BZG Coupe:

Edit: The updated version is uploaded.

Quote from Scawen :(run cmd, then type tracert lfs.net)

I get 3 request timed out (4, 5 and 9) of 10 hops. Ping delay is normal.

Loading images is also noticeable slow (slowly vertical revealing), but not too slow... I haven't measured speeds.

No, I put them to custom access... I've been thinking of deleting those two BZG mods.Uhmm
Should I keep them? Looking at them... they look kinda bad.
Thinking about adding interior textures (leather) to them too.

I set them to public again. Big grin

EDIT: I decided I won't delete them. Thumbs up

Quote from Scawen :Is there a way to automatically fix them?

At first I wrote it as a joke, but as Aleksandr_124rus posted, merge by distance (0.0001 m) should fix them.

Code wise, I'm not sure how hard would that be - to add "fuse/merge by distance" option.

Quote from superlame :Can we have a shortcut that hides the red lines for "bad normal"?

Better 'automatically fix them' shortcut, instead of hiding. Big grin

The speeds are low from Bulgaria too. 10-15 seconds per mod. No difference if HTTP buffer option is enabled or not.

Quote from Scawen :Does this answer your question? Smile

Thanks. "A picture is worth a thousand words." Thumbs up

So, I'm on my way to optimize (reduce tris) of the LOD2s of my mods. Smile

Quote from Flame CZE :...do you think it would help to show the latest official LFS news items on the LFS entry screen, maybe in a second tab next to the upcoming events news?

This could work, reminds me of the old BeamNG menu.

There should be a fast and easy way to learn about the recent updates / new versions, so to be clear developers are working on the game.

Now you have to go to News page, then apply filter (show official lfs news), nobody would do that.

In BeamNG website you can instantly see the recent updates.

EDIT: There is a shortcut for the official lfs news: Big grin but i just noticed it...

I do have a question about windows/transparent objects shadow - since in real life they doesn't cast shadows, but in the public LFS version (LOD2) transparent objects does generate shadows.

Is this going to change with the new graphics system?

I know nobody would notice such thing, but it's a little nice detail. Big grin

I have updated the interior, the mod is almost finished. Progress in the attachment shots.
Now I will make a lower poly LOD2 and it will be out of WIP state. Smile

Quote from Avraham Vandezwin :There's a really cool video there.

The video is good for entertainment, but representing LFS being a NFS copy is not great idea. Frown

However I think LFS needs a trailer, maybe played only once as intro when you start the game for the first time.

Something like this but with the new graphics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Db3TwNiU9Q

I also never used LFS music player.
Also I think there is no need of intro (music or video) either.

But being on the tracks there is no background sounds, which can be added via a music player or some sort.

I suggest to add (it the future) a background sounds simulating a track/city environment which can be turned on/off in the audio options.
This will make the experience more immersive.

EDIT: There is a wind sound only when the car engine is running and being close to the car.
EDIT №2: The attached screenshot is from BeamNG.

Probably already mentioned, but a warning message would be nice when closing LFS Editor by the X. Mostly by mistake. Big grin

Quote from Avraham Vandezwin :The problem is elsewhere.

The problem maybe it's because LFS is being developed by 3 developers.
Hence the progress is slow. Hence there is not as much content.
Looked from outside the game just feel outdated.

To get rid of some of that (in my opinion):

Graphics upgrade.
Sounds/Engines upgrade.
Add more tracks (we have plenty of car mods already).
Overhaul the remaining default LFS cars (just like the RB4).
Release it on Steam.

But to do all of this in a reasonable time frame... it just need more developers.
And since this does not match the philosophy behind LFS, these things will be happening slowly.

It's a bit annoying, so I posted a comment under his video about this.
In my opinion with the release of the new graphics, people will be less confused.

Quote from EvolutionBG :A correction about Live for Speed.

It's still being developed by Scawen Roberts, Eric Bailey, Victor van Vlaardingen to this day.
Soon there will be graphics upgrade, which will visually bring the sim into the present day with day/night cycle, dynamic lighting, better shadows and many more stuff.

Live for Speed is a sim from 2023, not from 2002. In 2002 just started it's developing.
Sometimes this is hard to comprehend in the world today, where they are releasing games every year with hundred DLCs.

His answer:
Quote from Zojiki :Yes, but 2002 was the original release.
Just like iRacing. Also I had no idea about the upcoming update,
I'll check it out, thanks a lot 😊

Quote from ivancsx :I wish real hud still shown on Shift+U mode, instead only blank but keeps virtual ones on

I hope the mirrors to be working when using external camera at some point in the future. Smile Maybe with an option to turn it on/off (optimization).
