Normaly I use my On-Board Soundcard with no problems.

But I also use my USB Headset sometimes when my wife is watching TV or so...

With the USB Headset I have a very scatchy sound...

There is no diffenece if I use the WinXP own driver or install the driver CD - exept for a sound I dont like... the Windows driver sounds better in my opinion..

Today I got a 5.1 USB Soundcard from a friend to test - the same probem...

Any clue?

Thanks for the tip! Unfortunately I cannot save a Shift&A Setup with swiched sound off... When I step in the car again all sounds I turned of are switched on again...

But I can use my "old" pulled to 0 Shift&A sounds!

I guess the volume of CSR was too high... but now I can hear the other cars!

EDIT: It does NOT work on online races!!!

Well, the only problem I have is that I cannot hear other cars around me

So its useless for me because I dunno if someone is next to me or not..

When I activate full LFS Sound I hear my own car double with a few miliseconds difference...

I did not solve it too, yet

I am now using old 1.51 Version from my Backup... I needed 3 tries to change the AutoMessage settings to get rid of kicking a unnamed player because of having no Admin rights at most of the online servers...

But I am missing the "shift beep"...

But 1.52 only works with completely deactivated AutoMessage or in standard config... I only want to change a few statements from "Hello / Hallo / Ciao" into just "Hi!", change "Good race!" into "Good and fair race!" and I want to have an AutoMessage when someone gets a new (Lapper) - PB... Every other AutoMessages should be deactivated...

in Race press shift A to enter the sound Otions. There U pull all mixers of the above block clomplete to the left.

Then save the sound, adjust the volume in LFS to CSR and enjoy!

But now I have some questions:

1.) how can I set a special Layout to BL1 - the layout file I copied into the data/layout folder
2.) how can I change the track while track changing for guests is not allowed
3.) How to set someone as Admin for Track - Marshal purposes?

After having problems with LFSRelax 1.52 with AutoMessage I also have the same Problems with lapper (V5.54):

When I for example drive too fast in pit Lapper sends some messages for a possible ban etc.

After killing my config I do not get AutoMessage to work

Always when a Race starts and my Message comes I get an Error in Relax and LFS closes Relax after about 20 seconds...

Any Clue??

YES! I DID IT!!!

SimView AND LFSRelax are working together!

This is the "trick" I did:

1.) Place a Link of LFS.exe on your Desktop
2.) Open Properties of this Link and add /insim=29999 to the target field (this makes LFS open the insim Port 29999 for Relax in standard propertie)
3.) Configure SimAdapter on ID2, Port 4711 and add the Lines to your cfg.txt at the end
4.) Save and write-protect cfg.txt
5.) launch SimAdapter, launch SimView, connect SimView, launch LFS, launch LFSRelax
6.) Have fun with SimView AND LFSRelex together

Now its on you, sixpack:

- Break and throttle should be swiched (every car has the throttle right!)
- try to read more infos out of LFS to be shown (G-Force, Split Times etc.)
- perhaps a LowFuel warning would be nice

There are already apps who display G-Force and Split Times via OutGauges - so it should be possible...

Ok, when you have finished editing your cfg.txt, write - protect ist and start LFS with "/insim=xxxxx" parameter... so it works for me!

(xxxxx is the port)

hmmm..

I think it is caused by using the order "InSim".... this causes that the Config Lines given by the server will be deleted in cfg.txt (or Mode 1 is resetted to Mode 0)...

So SimView stops working...

But I do not know how to get Relax to work without tyoing Insim.... But this is a question for another thread....

But when starting InSim OutGauge Mode 1 is set back to OutGauge Mode 0...

or a complete Configuration for an OutGauge Mode 1 is deleted from cfg.txt... (When having Mode0 and Mode1 Config)...

But I do have some probs and some improvement suggestions:

First the probs:

- How can I use LFSRelax AND SimView together?
- When I copy&paste the configs into cfg.txt it works fine. But in my opinion my wheel gets a bit stronger to circle... Also when I enter /insim 29999 and then start LFSRelax SimView stops working. When I restart LFS it does not work too because the config I pasted in the cfg.txt (and SAVED!!!) have been deleted...

Improvement suggestions:

- perhaps make it possible to show only some Controlls. So it is possible to choose what you want to see. (Not working in LFS could not be shown...)
- Also I would like to see Split and GAP Times (in LFSRelax it works)..
- When using the Split Times, the LAP Times could be calculated...

These rules I would prefer to implement:

- After Race Finish every car must return to Pit (by driving the NORMAL way) AND must have a determined amount of fuel on board (like in DTM)

- There could be an information Lap to warm up tires or for a flying start.

- guys who ignore Blue Flags should be sent to spectate after 3 Turns (perhaps when they drive much slower then they should spectate earlier) - but Blue Flags should be shown a bit later, cause I often see a Blue Flag and nor Car in the mirror...

- when comming out of Pit there blue flags should be shown on traffic and guys who cross the white line sould get a drive through...

I hope this will be possible sometimes...

I mostely drive the FOX on Blackwood. With Patch Y I recognized that the difference between R1 an R2 tires is much too big!

R1 ties are burned after 2 or 3 Laps and R2 tires are hot enough after 2 or 3 Laps and they are only hot on the surface... The inside just is light blue...

I think in real life very soft slicks are good for more then only 3 Laps! And the difference to the next soft tires is not sooooo big!

Even hard tires (in Formula one) have enough grip for good times after a few turns...

When we sometimes have a formation Lap and we try to warm up our tires like F1 driver do, they will be burned befor start...

Perhaps there will be an update for the tire issue soon!

Well I don´t know if it is a bug, but I have problems shifting the last gear. Especialy I have this problem with the FOX.. All other gears are ok but to shift the sixth I have to press the paddle several times...
