Will Power driving like his head's cut off in the final corner and straight. Shoves Wilson out of the way in the final corner, then runs Bourdais into the wall just before the finish line and as a result beat them both to the line.
Meanwhile, Conway's car was crawling on the inside (trying to finish) and a corner worker was waving a yellow flag as they drove by.
Will be disappointed in IndyCar officials if there's not at least a penalty for Power. Could be one for Bourdais as well due to the yellow flag being waived.
You should work for NASCAR. (and so should a lot of other people) You got further than their entire R&D center did... They had an entire R&D center and a budget to boot.
As expected, low downforce is better. Is NASCAR smart enough to figure that out? God, I hope so. The truth is doing this to NASCAR right now:
@PMD:
I don't like the 3 part qualification. Group qualifying is fine, but should be avoided on plate tracks. Elsewhere it's fine if it's just a group session of about a half hour. I think it would be best if they'd just do the local short track style of running groups of 5-10 at a time to reduce weather variations and quicken the process.
In other qualifying news, the truck series qualifying session #3 was a joke. Only one driver actually set a lap in the final qualifying session and defaulted to receive the pole position. The group deal on ovals just doesn't make any sense.
I enjoyed my time at the track last Sunday, but I was sitting in the less than ideal carousel corner. Good to keep an eye on pit strategy, but not much else. We got there too late to get a better place to sit.
Yes, but spinning the tires like that is good at a stopped or very low speed. At a decent speed it seems to be almost reckless.
I'm sure there was plenty of room on the inside of the race track for Tony to proceed. He'd look a lot less guilty if he hadn't come so close to start with.
Point is that Tony Stewart has quite a temper, and I assure you that he wasn't just harmlessly passing by trying at all costs to avoid him.
Yes, the OHSAA does recommend 3 man teams, but as a first year official I'm booked solid the entire season. 3 man teams in this area would increase demand for officials while lowering pay (schools don't make money on soccer teams in this area). Basically, it's just not possible with the number of officials we have available.
NFHS and OHSAA are almost completely in agreement outside of safety regulation (concussions, ect.) I'm curious as to what the "laws" say anyways (even if I still don't know the OHSAA "rules" )
I've never played the sport in full, but I have played some strange knock off variations of the game in casual fun around the house. It's enjoyable, but not something I would make a big habit of doing like I do tennis
Quick question: Can a goalkeeper control the ball with their feet outside of the penalty area and bring it into the penalty area and handle the ball? I'm a new official, and I believe that the answer to this question is yes.
A game I was doing a few weeks back involved a play like this and I allowed play to continue. I think the laws allow this, but neither my partner nor I (we run a two man diagonal system [two whistles] of officiating here in high school matches, and it is terrible ) knew for sure. We both believed it legal.

I will be headed to Mid-Ohio tomorrow morning Forecast looks decent right now
I think my girlfriend and I will sit in the "Keyhole" (Turn 2) if we sit down there early enough That's probably the best passing opportunity on the track. I've never attended a road course race, but I think it's going to be pretty fun
