No, I have never met any of those drivers, so I have to rely on what is shown on TV. It might be that he appears differently in Interviews, but Schumacher in the end was a bit too self-secure in the interviews. He was a very good racer and a motivational factor for the team, but not always down to earth like Vettel is still. He know's he's not the slowest driver on the grid but he's just natural.
Ohh and Michael was also talking to younger races and held races on his own Karting Track.
But what about the comparison of Hamilton describing himself as better than Senna?
Sure you can't put e.g. me in a Brawn GP now and I would rock the grid. But as in all motorsports, the car has to fit the driver. Just as in LFS, if you have a setup that fits the one driver but I need more oversteer, then he will certainly get along better than I do (given that it's not just the setup but the car all in all) We had it the last years with several teams that one driver wasn't a 100% satisfied with the overall car's behavior. I think Heidfeld couldn't get heat into the BMW's tyres....
I believe it's just about his attitude and appearance. He appears to me at least as arrogant as Michael Schumacher in his later years. And it pisses me off that he is praised for being WDC in his 2nd season, but everyone forgets about the car he was sitting in. Being new to F1 doesn't mean you're a bad racer, he's done very well in the former leagues.
And once more, McLaren Mercedes, especially that stupid Haug not appearing any likeable to me. He's talking about not spending any efforts into the protests against the diffusors only to save that time and rather work on the car. True strory is that they are already having the new diffusor just covered with some plates and waiting for the final decision by the FIA.
Ohh I just remember everyone praising Lewis Hamilton for being so well in his first two seasons. He was sitting in the best car as well and that's why he had the chance to become the champion.
But now with Button having a competitive car it's just ok and it wasn't him driving it properly but only the car's greatness?
Kimi failed again, looked like he wasn't 100% focussed and lost it. Button didn't so give credit to those who deserve it!
You also have to give credit to Lewis because he was doing consistent Laptimes, slower than others but with a smaller deviation (I followed the Livetiming on formula1.com) But he mostly benefited from crashes and KERS.
The only thing I am very disappointed of is that both Vettel and Kubica didn't behave professionally, Kubica could have been more patient and Vettel should have backed off, you cannot hold a guy who's 2 secs a lap faster than you behind for 4 laps.
mhh I just picked this random thread to see what the official forum is about and I am delighted to see that it's absolutely the same like in the German forum
@ xtraction: I would try to show up on servers where the IGTC combo is driven to show that you are a mature, fair and fast driver. This will give a good reputation you can then use in finding a team. And generally driving more tracks at a decent speed is never wrong
@ Pearcy, I don't get either why you are so hard to hyntty....I don't know whether you have a history but I agree to him that because to me he doesn't appear to be thinking he's LFS GOD looking down on other racers......I bet he knows that more practice can lead to better laptimes and more appetizers for teams looking for a driver....Even my sister could tell..
I haven't raced the FXO recently, and rather seldom the XRT at all. But on As7r I struggle to keep tires below critical temps for more than a max. of 4 laps. After that it'S all red. It's driveable, but not perfect anymore ^^
And apart from that, I wanna see the car in RL that is that lose on the rear axis......I've driven a couple of RWDs and neither of these was as tail happy as the XRT is ^^
But I think with the TBOs there is another issue.....I haven't driven any car in real life where the tyres after 2 laps are close to converting into liquid rubber.....2 laps on the Nordschleife gave a very nice an grippy warm temperature, far away from the melting point.....in an FWD....
Try that with the FXO ^^
This is basically towards the discussion in the german LFS Forum where ppl argue that we need more roadcars than big fast cars with spoilers and slicks because only the small cars proof to be a lot of fun.
This Video (we didn't intend to show how GTR racing can look like) was the outcome of a practise session where we fought for more than 3 laps until I made a slight mistake and couldn't get back into slipstream.
Of course it's not as close as you can drive in a UF1000, but besides aerloss problems and higher speeds this gave me the same thrill!
Maybe the wording offends some of you, but this video shows that you can also have fun in a GTR when 2 drivers are equally fast.
One little question, when Using sound #5 which is my favourite I get some double whistle.
So when geting off the pedal it does like phitty phew -----phew
So it appears as if the sound is played completely and then for a short moment starts again, any idea of how to fix it? Or does anyone have the same sound in a working version as .wav file?
The FIA should have penalized the Team for the Massa incident. Massa is relying on the signal the team gives him to leave the pits. I doubt he can see/ concentrate on a car coming from behind, that's something the Team had to look after. Punishing Massa would have been even more unfair.
You can argue about considering the chicane as 1 turn or 2 turns, but those of you who say that Kimi should have given room to Lewis would also have to say that it's webbers fault Heikki crashed him. Because: Heikki was slightly next to Webber (almost as much as Lewis was next to Kimi) and even more, on the INSIDE! So why the hell did Webber try to force Heikki off track?
And, If you try to overtake on the outside you have to be aware of that fact that you do not own the right of way until you are considerably ahead.
Well, Hamilton was in the lead braking for that chicane, but while entering Kimi was further into the chicane. I mean, forcing Lewis to shortcut the chicane means he was ahead at that point. And there is no rule telling you have to let the competitior pass if he's anywhere near. Fighting for the win of the race Kimi blocked Hamilton so he would have had to either brake or use the shortcut there.
BUT: If he braked he would never have been in the slipstream of Raikkonen, so by letting him by with minimal less speed to get back behind him "Fortunately I got back in his slipstream" was a clear advantage at that point.
I'm not sure whether the 25 seconds are okay, but just in that moment he acted like that I thought "this cannot be according to the rules" because being that close behind Kimi he had all possibilities to go by easily.
I haven't tried the new patch so far, but considering a real life car like an Audi TT MK1 has a max boost of .9 bar and only goes up to that value under full tilt it should be realistic.
A friend of mine with that car had a boost gauge installed and it showed minus values even when accelerating slightly, only if I pushed the pedal more than let's say fifty% it went up to positive figures.
clipto, just write an e-mail to the devs and see what they say, maybe they'll refund, maybe not, we at the forum cannot tell you about their decision, so be fast and gentle and explain them your problem, maybe you'll be lucky
possible Renku, I haven't searched for it, sorry I never tried it like the other guy did, I only experienced bad car bahavior while hitting that point.
But since he posted it in 2006 already my hopes fade away that it will be fixed soon
Hi all, dunno whether it is known or not, but in the oval chicane on Kyoto GP long there is one part where some invisible "error" exists. if you hit it accidentally your car just gets pushed as if u hit some high curb or whatever, I made 2 pictures of the tyre marks lying on this spot showing clearly where it is located.
I hope this will be ficed soon since it can ruin a race there easily (I got knocked out 3 times in today's LFSGT race) sry for the wide pictures, I was too lazy to cut the second screen out
I have received you Mail shadow, don't worry that your submission will not be regarded ^^
After september 14th our team will vote on the best skin and announce it on all forums we announced the competition
The won't be THE skin in the end so maybe your approach fits our requests better than other skins. You should give it a try the more entries we have, the more exciting the Competition will become
