Depends. Only if you actually made the money you buy the car with yourself... if your parents pay, their rules IMHO.

Saw rush yesterday. Great movie and they mostly refrainded from using racing movie steretype edits, with the actual racing taking little part in the overall story.

Gravity was stupid, on the other hand. Cannot recommend.

Having used both iOs and Android devices, I would never ever consider buying something running iOs. It might be sleek, but compared to Android, it just feels so restricitive.

Hmm, I would think I play a lot, but my efforts did only yield that up to now:

Bought an apartment. At the next login, my apartment was gone, and the money too. At the next login the character was gone.

My 4th character doesn't trigger the Mod Shop tutorial with the insurance/theft protection...

Quote from CoolColJ :The bad guys always show on your radar in Online, even if you never saw them.
Even story mode doesn't work like that...

Anyway if you have trouble getting on, do the online stuff solo, you can at least get the initial stuff alone and level up a bit

Nope, the opponents only show if they are loud. if you sneak and use silenced weapons, you very rarely show up.

Also, I really like it. While there's general mayhem in free mode, during matches, missions and races people are quite civilized.

Seen that in real life in a corner of my room with one of those fellows

IMHO, the more disturbing sight was the "cloud" of baby spiders emerging from the mother when they were old enough...

Managed to play for 2 hours.

After trying again, my character's gone

EDIT: character back up again... but lost one rank of progress... Still, I think it's quite fun, when you actually get to play it.

EDIT2: And right after selecting the character slot, he's gone again.

I'm not concerned about the quality, but rather about me not being able to play at all, not even in "solo mode", so I can't even get the mandatory tutorials out of the way...

But I agree that it's rather an inconvenience than a crisis.

To regard the start of GTA O as bumpy would be quite a euphemism... and to think that I felt lucky for having the day off...

Quote from dawesdust_12 :Yeah, I notice the north-eastern coast. There's the hobo campground which only seems to be used as a location for a letter scrap. As well as some in the mountains.

The camp is also used for a bounty hunt.

Quote from Crashgate3 :So it does everything a living-room PC that's running the Steam application can already do, but stops you being able to use that PC as, well... a PC?

As I too like to put my PC in the living room and use steam big picture, I am definately looking forward to that. But as my PC is both huge and loud, I look especially forward to the streaming functionality. With that, you only need a pretty barebones PC silent hooked up to the TV and let your main rig do all the computing.

Short verdict on the driving physics:

1) The cars are much grippier, but then I always thought the GTA4 ones were a tad too slidy. Now they're a tad too grippy, but still fun to drive.

2) Crashes are way worse than in GTA IV. I guess they got rid of the soft body eformation of GTA IV for performance reasons, but due the almost complete lack of deforming (instead, parts fall off), the crashes feel like bumping matchbox cars. Also, there seems to be an issue with car weight. When hitting a car of the same or a higher weight, your own car seems to skid around it upon impact, with little to no impact on the car you hit.

Also, I got mostly two results from crashes: either the "skidding" around the obstacle with no real loss of traction or orientation, OR it's flipping all over the place with multiple revolutions around all three axis', but nothing in between.

Still, a great game. But after about 5 hours in I still think The Last of Us is the best PS3 game of this year, if not of all time, even though I do like Sandbox games and dislike survival horror...

I think it's a mixture of both.

But IIRC the devs said somewhere that they did tone the driving physics for GTA 5 a tad more in the arcade direction... But even if it drives considerably worse than 4, it's still going to be great IMHO.

Quote from Crashgate3 :I fail to see how this is a bad thing.

After Assassins Creed 2, I would've agreed. But not with AC:B, AC:R, AC3 and Far Cry 3 sharing the same open world concept full of quite repetitive content...

Quote from Bose321 :Also, the things shown in the last video are anything but 'dynamic'. If you look at some earlier videos they are doing EXACTLY the same. For example the car chase, that was also on some talk show, where the dude sucked at driving. It doesn't feel dynamic at all to me.

I also thought that it was quite convenient that there was a sports car parked right next to the fleeing criminal, being all dynamic etc. sounds more like marketing brabble or "developement target" to me.

Still looks interesting though, allthough I fear it'll be a fiteen minutes into the future sci-fi version of assassins creed.

Remember that you have to set the screen resolution to 720p for it to work.

Quote from Klutch :What the hell is wrong with you.

Seeing that I both own a washing machine and don't oppose personal hygiene, my clothes don't tend to get grimey and/or filthy. So as long as it's in working condition, why get rid of it?

Don't worry, I buy new undies regularly, but I still hold on to older pairs that aren't ruined...

well, my undies always do. Hard to contain my package, it seems :P

(or me being cheap and only stopping to use a pair once it really loses structural integrity... that particular one is about 7-8 years old IIRC)

...ahem

So the evil doer was simply someone who did what you like to do? Oh how ironic.

Quote from sinbad : Someone says 12 sided "wheels" act like 24 sided "wheels" because one side is rotated compared to the other. What does that mean? That half the left side is out of line with the right?

It measn basically, as shown in the attached picture, that the tyre surface is composed of "zig-zagging" triangles as opposed to rectangular ones (which would be composed of two triangles actually...)
