Quote from Flame CZE :He said he'd tested "two of his new tracks", so I assume there are more than 2 new tracks, but I can be wrong

I like your thinking.

Good to hear that stuff is still being done, picking LFS up again when there is some new content.

Was good fun and racing, thanks for hosting. Haven't been active in the last two years and was great to see familiar names on the track. Hope we get more people the next time.

Quote from Jakg :No - EU rules says there has to be x gap between the bonnet and the engine

As far as I know it's the Euro NCAP test not a regulation from the EU, which you non-european islanders always like to blame for everything. You actually started the whole NCAP nonsense.

It's not mandatory, but not meeting the gap will lower your score dramatically. Why do you need a good score for a sport car, I've got no idea. Maybe it's the dishwasher image Nissan wants to achieve with their whole product line.

IIRC the Pentax k-m has quality issues with jpeg compression, but in RAW the picture quality should be good as with the competitors.

Quote from sinbad :What is the fastest car in the game (top speed)?

I'd say Veyron, at least in usability. The Aveo gets a full 10 in speed, but it's just useless in handling having so short wheelbase it's almost impossible keep going straight. At least with my setup skills, should have tried with a spoiler I guess.

Hmm...I guess I need to try the Datsun next.

Quote from sinbad :I'm quite sure you can select different units in the options somewhere.

You can either have the game in mph/hp or kmh/kw which is freaking retarded.

Chevrolet errmm..whatever it is... well, the tiny rebadged Daewoo, with top speed of over 380 km/h is freaking crazy. You know when you have enough power when adding more lowers your PI.

Theoretical top speed was over 400 but the damn thing couldn't keep straight over the small bumps on Mulsanne straight after it got past 360.

The farmers need motivation for their job, just because it feeds people doesn't really cut it if they don't have a gun pointing at their head.

If it wasn't for money, they would trade something else or didn't give out food for everyone. If people had to do their job for the sheer joy, we wouldn't have people doing all the shitty jobs that need to be done to keep this place running.

Sounds like a dribble from 5 year old communist planning an utopia. It just doesn't work, I'm sorry.

Money creates equality, it doesn't destroy it. If you don't have money, well, hard shit, do something!

Quote from dawesdust_12 :Why, I don't get wound up ever. I'm perfectly calm. I couldn't give 2 shits about Forza other than trying to help people form wasting their money on it.

Considering your efforts in this thread you care more than than most people playing the game.

Why don't you just live and let live. It's nothing away from you if someone enjoys something you don't.

If there was only one maker for racing titles I would understand your frustration and venting. But the competition will improve both GT and FM series, what is best or better is always subjective but it will improve the competition making both fans better off.

Quote from deggis :Explain what? You know this is very likely exactly how they (MTV and Scavier) have agreed?

Not sure it's that much between MTV3 and the Devs.

At least this article, which also presents a misleading view on things suggest otherwise.

I got 45.813 this morning with Alfa Romeo Brera. You might want to double check that on live Dan, I'm not sure, but it was freaking slow anyway. Not home at my Xbox now, two days with no Forza.

These people are not choosing to do this, they're just not educated in the same way we are. It's unlikely they're disregarding the idea of 'treating animals humanely, and more likely they've never heard of such a concept. They've probably never seen a Disney film and so don't humanise animals like we do.

Don't think you can educate people to treat animals humanely. The society needs to respect it's people first. Considering China's problems with human rights it's no wonder they don't respect animals. You have to start from the basics of humane before you can get on your high horse preaching about animal rights like we here in the west.

edit. meh, beaten with high horses already. :|

The biggest the most ugliest thing with FM3 graphics is the HDR crap that ruins the whole cockpit view by over exposing the whole freaking sky. It's like watching a bad on-board footage made with shitty Sony handy cam. It's freaking disgusting. Other thing is the shadows that show huge pixels when stretched. Overall it looks good, it's in the slower cars you have time to look stuff you notice these things.

Solution: only drive the Ferrari FXX. It's so quick you mess your pants if you don't wear a diaper.

Quote from Nathan_French_14 :
And the drag race against the Audi is just marketing crap. Comparing a Twin Turbo V6 against a N/A V8 is a little unfair, and the video seems to be bullshit, as in some shots, the Taurus is on par with the Audi, then the Ford just shoots off. It's all a load of bullcrap.

It's terribly bad marketing and possibly plain illegal if you state false claims about your product. While it may be pointless to compare N/A to Turbo, the point they are trying to make is that smaller capacity can provide equal or better performance of a larger engine. I'm going to pull this straight out my ass, but I think Americans are used to bigger is better and they are trying to turn them around with this.

The advert shows a story of a test, it doesn't claim it's the actual footage of the test. It's like how Top Gear adds bits of footage in their races that were shot on the way back home.

Quote from Shotglass :nah maggot is right it has absolutely nothing to do with gravity and everything to do with simple geometry
to pull something tight _around_ something you need at least 3 fixed points... in this case the 3rd is somewhere in antarctica

But as BBT agrees, pulling it tight doesn't matter, it will still touch the surface all the way around because gravity.

edit. ^ Heh, good timing.
