Quote from wien :That would be "narrow" , and yeah it does look that way. Could be the difference in angle though. The rounded curb should make it harder to take advantage of that area anyway, so it may not make much of a difference how wide it is.

More narrow or narrower just didn't sound right in my head, but I guess that's what it should be then.

If you compare it to the width of the curb, it seems roughly the same while the old one seems at least double the size.

if you look close its a lot of difference, found these comparison shots at the german lfs forum

Hard to tell the differences when the angles are so different. But is it just me or does the run-off seem less wider (word for the opposite of wide???) in the last picture?

Quote from spankmeyer :Scrolling banner text in SO town? (Look below)
Is this the dirt-in-windsreen we are talking about?

The "scrolling text" seems like a glitch with the windshield curving and reflection. And yes, that is the dirt, more visible in this picture http://www.lfs.net/page_images/pics/fbm_shot02.jpg

- Drivers head swaying over bumps/G-forces in 3rd person views.

That might be the head moving because steering wheel movement. Nothing new, been there for ages.

- parking lot with a caravan and tents looks accessible behind the SO pits

- speculation: car shadow bug fixed when exiting the box? (shadow shown on the wall etc.)

Don't think it actually the UFR hit the wall that hard. Could be they've made the wall smoother there.

edit.

- there is a dude in dark gray overalls standing in the SO pits :P

Well, few that I spotted at first glance.

- BL pit traffic light and limit sign on the ground
- green stuff added next to the curbs in the new BL chicane
- dirt in the windscreen of the BMW (some sort of experiment with transparent surfaces?)
- a whole punch of new sponsor decals, rather irrelevant though I guess (at least Avon, OZ racing and Dell)

Quote from AndroidXP :Rather many? I'd say he just dropped the front spoiler once

Okok, it's a "wing", I know

Hahahaha, you silly. Well, at least Scawen got some first hand experience he can use when updating the crash physics.

Quote from zeugnimod :But there's no exact date so I guess we will get a rather long thread waiting for it.

Yeah, if you meant if we are going to have a 51 page about it, sure, no problem. I though you meant the sort of teasing they did with the April patch back then and if we are going to have that, which was how the thread you pointed out started.

I wonder if we will get something similar to this again on the forum.

Well, Scawen already dropped rather many spoilers in the first post and the video. So I doubt it, and it's probably against Geneva convention anyway.

Quote from Bob Smith :For what looked like a very fun day, Scawen doesn't sound very enthusiastic.

He is a coder, not a TV presenter.

But how about the FOX? It's rather close in terms of stats, so is there any point having two low powered winged formula cars? FOX might actually be a bit faster, it has a bit more power and could put BMW to shame, although the tires on the BMW seem a bit fatter.

Would be cool if FOX could be made to a wingless car, like formula Ford type of thing.

edit.

Did anyone notice the dirt on the "windshield" of the new BMW? I wonder if that if that is the default texture? http://www.lfs.net/page_images/pics/fbm_shot02.jpg

Got to stop the dreaming. Now.

But you will probably get some AA and AF when your new system arrives? That looks like some sort of Lego edition though.

Now, I had heard urban myths that the americans used superglue in WW2 for battlefield medicine, but I have never heard of it being used in civilian medicine, must be a new thing?

It was actually used in Vietnam, not WWII. Was good effective way to stop wounds bleeding.

Although, I got to admit that I think I saw the controller for that game tonight.

Have played LFS with a few meter wide screen once. The projector was bolted in the sealing and I sat few meters back in a comfy race frame (cheapo and too hot though). It was excellent, there is something that makes that so much different, I guess it's the field of view, somehow I felt I was more aware what is happening. I can recommend it!

Oh, and congrats having another excuse being silly slow.

You are right, but I was only looking for Dallara. It was found somewhere near Parma, so hence the cheese.
