hmmz, i think i'm going to try this again tomorrow, my last project is just lying around :/ pics will follow next week

i have a trackir 4, and didnt use it for quite some time, i started lfs with an early s2 demo i think, back then i could look 360° with it, now in the new one it only works 180 ° and then it just stopt :/

i dont have this in flight sim games so its not the trackir itself, why is this restriction ??? it used to be so cool to look around the whole car and look to the back, i could even lean out of the car a bit

i was going very very very fast in the fox and all of a sudden in a fast bend the wheel got all light and SNAP OVERSTEER : D
amazing how it feels now, i also instantaniously got enough feedback to hold the slide though the next 2 corners WITH FOX : DDD

i'd like to say that this is just an idea i suddenly came up with from seeing a topgear video.

i love lfs to race and cruise, i never had 1 day without having fun with lfs.

offc i'd drive myself, why the f* would i'v payd for lfs? i LOVE LFS

i was just thinking about a video of topgear where the guy sat in a bmw that 'learned ' track and drove itself

its just an IDEA, dont start screaming and shouting like that :s djeeez

I got this vage idea when i read the strobe lights thread.

Could it be possible to make a program like the strobe light thing but, letting the program control throttle, brake and steering?

Like you have to record your movements (axis x, y, z+, y- etc ...)
and the program repeats it so the car drives itself?
or input all the commands like the strobe lights program.

Quick reminder maybe: use resistors or you 'll fry the leds

this is great could u make an autopilot with the same principe?

like:
throttle - 12sec
brake - 3sec
turn right - 1 sec

works fine on my machine without hardly any framedrop
not a lot of change, but its nice to have a bit of shiny things in lfs

I have a Trackir 4, it cost me €160.
I'v used some time but not for long.

And it used to work 360° in LFS but LFS is now limited to looking around in 180° :s

It works great in racing games but for me its more something for flight sims.

My shifter is now completly broken.

So i removed the buttonboard from the shifter housing and attached it to bottom spoke of the wheel

I should better have waited with buying al the components.

The leds are too bright, its battery powered and the display is way too small.

i'm thinking about first making a F1 style indicator.
and later a rally one with a big display. But these are not to find just in a store. if i have to order and it would cost me more than €8 for one.

but was it wrong for me to buy bright leds? they are realy super bright! hurts my eyes :s
And i think that the 9v battery isnt going to last very long.
