I used to do alot of rollerblading with my Roces. The main enjoyment came from high-speed runs downhill with my sister near my village when I lived with my parents. Also the occasional jump over/from stuff. Never did any halfpipes though.. because before I was getting at a good level, my feet were already way too big and I had massively outgrown the Roces.
Since then, I've been having a really hard time finding shoes in my size, let alone rollerblades.

I'm size 14(US)/47(EU).

Quote from tristancliffe :Or a failure to realise that what was posted was humorous.

But being against America, I can see that you wouldn't see the funny side of it. Americans don't know how to take the piss out of themselves. Shame, because they'd be quite an amusing bunch of rednecks if they could... this might also be funny, but then, you wouldn't know

On the contrary, I find people that don't get the humor in something quite amusing. And I'm not talking about all Americans as every one of them is different than the other, though from a distance it's easy to generalize, just as they do to us. Just like all Asians look alike.
Well, they do actually, but that's besides the point.

Quote from sandberg :I have HP Pavilion dv9000.... I don`t now hard drive RPM????
pleas HELP ME!!!

--sandberg--

It's not really important to know. What matters is how your system will cope with LFS running and Fraps recording. The way to find out is to, well, record.

Hahaha, they both sucked major ass! Was very funny seeing both of them playing LFS. I liked how Jensen mentioned it was the real deal, 'a simulator for racers just like the simulator in wich aircraft pilots get trained in.'

But yeah, no mention of LFS whatsoever.

Quote from traxxion :LFS was shown in the Dutch late-night show "Jensen" tonight. One of the guests was the famous Dutch F1 commentator Olav Mol and both the presenter and Mol used a simulator with LFS (looked like Formula V8 on Blackwood - I only caught a glimpse of it).
I'll try to get a replay of it

Nice! A shame I missed it, Jensen's an awesome show with millions of viewers..

I'll see what I can find as well!

EDIT:
We'll need to wait a little while until they upload the show and post it on this page:

Quote from Jakg :Hard disk RPM is a really bad way of measuring speed - just because 10,000 RPM drives are Server-level SCSI-on-SATA drives doesn't mean that 10,000 RPM = Fast.

You need a decent hard drive, and a decent computer (Dual Core = Preferable). Chances are your PC just isn't good enough - what is it?

It's a very important factor actually. Combined with read-out speed.

"Besides the recording technology, drive rotation speed is the most important factor for a drive's throughput. Most people associate fast rotation speed with high data transfer rates, because this is the most obvious advantage of fast spindle speeds. Whether you boot Windows or copy files that are hundreds of megabytes or even gigabytes in size, quick transfer rates shorten the time it takes for completion of these tasks. Combining high rotation speeds with top-notch recording technologies such as PMR (perpendicular magnetic recording) has repeatedly managed to establish new speed records."
Source.

It's in the recommended system requirements of Fraps as well:

In addition to the base system requirements of Fraps 2, hard drive speed is important when capturing video. We recommend: 7200 rpm hard drive for full-size capture at 640x480 and 800x600.
10000 rpm hard drive for full-size capture at 1024x768.

In order of my knowledge of the language: Dutch, English, French, German. The European languages, languages of my neighbouring countries. I´ve learnt English mostly from subtitles on TV. When I didn´t know a specific word they just said, I´d just look it up in the subtitles. That being said, I sometimes feel like my English is better than my Dutch since I happen to make more grammar and spelling mistakes in Dutch than English.

Good stuff. Not sure about the tarmac texture though, it looks like it just has B/W grain pasted on it. I would've made a grain alpha layer and displaced that over the texture to get some faux-bumpmapping.
