I saw that when I was visiting China, it should be the same thing, but you might want to check the warranty because DFP pedals break for sure after 90 days of use MAX.

45USD dollar for a 4MB connection, yes its crazy, and the really stupid thing is they cap our upload speeds at 765/kbs.

If we add another 10USD(per month) we can get a 6MB connection with like 1MB of upload...if only I lived in the UK....

Did it get clogged with anything? It happens when the wheel gets clogged or isnt well greased. Try cleaning it out and if you have to, grease up the parts. It could be that some parts inside is a bit worn out so it refuses to move smoothly therefore making the wheel act weird.

Quote from steve :I bet that Type R decal makes your PC faster :P

It adds 10mhz to my CPU speed, but not as much as the neons...

I know how to fix the mechanical errors of the pedal, I have done it over 10 times but I am expireiencing this really weird problem...

The pedal works perfect for PS2 and is still accurate.

But when used with PC the pedals are still accurate but I HAVE to use them in combined pedals, because my cockpit was not meant for use with DFP pedals and I need the DFP pedals as my clutch it really pissed me off. Now I use the calibration lock and make it so it reconizes a gas pedal push as a full push. I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem, I am going to reinstall the drivers and see if it fixes anything.

Using matching sticks of ram is a much better way then using 2 seperate sticks that don't match. You can get a pair of Hyper X (PC3200) 512MBs for 120USD, that like 65EUR?

I felt like cleaning my setup so I can play LFS and my other driving games more comfortably, I use my current screen to play games so I move it around, hopefully my parents would let me get the LCD TV back so I can use that to play games, watch tv, and play my PS2!

Quote from Blackout :Cockpit without the wheel and hands best for me

Same with me, I also agree with teh extra set of arm and wheel, so I zoom in as close as possible without taking out the mirrors, so I can see the mirros, the dashboard and the place where the wheel is suppse to be is replaced by my real wheel, can't wait till I get my new computer hooked up, that one actually has a dual monitor veiw unlike my current pc.

I found out that I totally maxed out all the capabilities of my Socket A motherboard. The only thing I can improve on is the Video card but it be a waste to buy AGP cards nowadayz.

So I picked up some new stuff for a new computer I am building.

-Abit An8Sli PCi-e motherboard
-Nvidia Geforce 6600GT OCed 128mb
-Some cables, floppy drive, and a DVD drive from my personal computer Junkyard, and a fan.

Still a lot to go before I can even start building, once I get my case it will be pretty easy, I already have compatiable ram.

I think I will chose the FX-53 processor because it is the lowest in its family with a FSB speed of 200 and a multiplier of 12x, I can easily change the multiplier to 16x therefore overclocking it to the speeds of a Fx-57. I seriously need to think about the cooling though.

Anyone have expirience with PCi-E boards and if there is anything I should look out for?

A lil pic of what I got:

Banger racing is a great idea, grip racing with all the strict rules is fun and all that but sometimes its fun trying to pass your oponent by grinding them up against the wall or fishtailing them.

The very sad thing about lfs is LAG, lag causes cars to fly thousands of feet into the air just because of a slight touch of another car, maybe LFS can work a little bit on the crash behaviours so it won't do that.

Togues would be GREAT for lfs, all the cars including the forumula cars would be great for hill climbing, the whole elevation change thing is an awesome idea, LFS did really well when they made the bridge in SO and also some of those bumps in FE rally, but I was thinking like a hill climb with a lot of sharp corners. It would be challenging and add a lot more fun to LFS!

I have almost even overclockable thing in my PC overclocked, I think the important thing is to keep your parts cooled, have something like CPU Idle to cool your comp down and monitor your temperature and of course, don't be too greedy when you overclocked, just overclock a little.

LFS runs a lot faster when I overclocked my PC from my old AMD Athlon 2500+ 1.8GHZ to a 3200+2.2GHZ.

Most calibration issues can be solved by:

-Going to control panel-> game controllers and calibrating your control(obvious)

-Going to LFS and make sure that your game reconizes your controller by defining how many FF devices you have

-Pressing the Recalibrate Axis button and moving you wheel form left to right and pressing all your pedals fully.

-Inverting axis if you have to...

And if all those don't work, then you probably have a problem with the wheel.

Quote from Lautsprecher[NOR] :LOL! Dude, that's a standard TT case. nothing "Custom" about it. Custom=Scratch-made.

Ok i guess you're right it did come with the case when I bought it just felt like calling it custom. But its custom now cuz it has a big Type R sticker on it!

I agree, yes it is only one person coding and cannot be compared to the 100s of people that do just the sounds of another game. In terms of racing games out there right now LFS is up there with the other games because LFS does not play engine sounds from sound files but like IRL the sounds comes from how much pressure you apply the the gas pedal, ETC. that is why the sounds are kind of boring, but you really couldn't expect too much from that type of sound.

But that cannot be an excuse not to get better, the suggestion of hiring a new person is a pretty good idea, thinl about it, 3ppl = LFS(amazing game), now with twice that number what will we be expiriencing? I'm sure there are lots of skilled people out there that are willing to help out.

The sounds are important and I do feel that LFS is lacking some things, the most important is shifting sounds, I don't know how you could hear them, I could not, I have used many different kind of speakers including the normal pc speakers home stereo ones, stereo headphones, mp3 headphones, and I can still tell that there are specific sounds missing.

I think that in the upcoming stages S2 will get even better than what it is now, we'll just have to wait and see, and was 2 years of wait for S2 worth it? I'd say yes. Plus if you compared the first alpha of S1 and the finished S1 product you can tell that S2 is just going to get better.

So my point is that sound is very important, and I'm sure improving it will make the game much better,
