Description

Vintage Formula 1 Racecar
Fictional Recreation of Vintage f1 Era Technology

I have tried to recreate the specs as accurately as possible although the car isn't completely based in reality. I took inspiration from both late 60s / 70s era cars with a lean towards the early 1970s. (Cars like MS10 Cosworth or Lotus 72 / 76, ferrari, Mclaren, etc etc)

- Classic High revving 2993cc V8 (Specs based off the Cosworth DFV)
- Double wishbone suspension front/rear
- Low drag Coefficient body
- Accurate 70s Tire specs & Handling
- Fun to drive but challenging to learn and master
- Realistic interior experience, good for VR
- Aero packages from 60s to the later 70s style! Great for variety in races!

------------------------------------------------------------------

Update 1: 4 Aero configurations update, 4 different classic body types!

Update 2: Handling/Setup fixes - Body changes + fine tuning chassis

Update 3: Big configuration changes, new aero! Slight engine upgrade and body improvements

Update 3.5: Less twitchy steering rack, Cockpit updates, new tire sizes, engine sound reworked

Update 4: Aero configurations updates 2 + mirror relocation for a better visual view of behind the car in response to the upcoming RTFR CCCC event
Improved suspension handling, aerodynamics effects have been tweaked, and starting setups have been further improved. Default colors and configurations have been updated.

Update 5: Car has new fully modeled engine/transmission!! Small brake light added to the rear & weight distribution changes + slight engine sound remake

Update 6: Now fully skinable! Create your own iconic racing skins![/center]

The author of this Vehicle Mod has indicated that this work is an original creation and has provided the following description of the approach:
All body modeling done directly through the LFS Editor program, Some assets were created taking use of supplied original resources already in LFS. The Individual throttle body's and Header tubes were modelled in Solidworks then brought to blender to export and smooth. Reference pictures were used to create the styling and textures to get the look and feel i wanted to really capture the late 60s / 70s F1 era. Overtime i implemented multiple configurations to stretch a wide variety and make races really something interesting to watch as each car was unique.
