XRD (XR - Professional Drift Version)
Dear Devs and Drifters,

Speaking from everybody in drifting community, WE want to suggest new professional drift car for our so much loved simulator.

X R D

D - stands for DRIFT

EXAMPLE

What are the basic reallife specs we need for a pro drift car?

ENGINE

Turbo Boost adjustment from 1.2bar up to 1.6bar (or just fixed value/need to be tested)

SUSPENSION

All the adjustments we already have on XRT version, plus:

Adjustable Caster (0 up to +10)
Adjustable Steering lock (already in 0.6Q10 test patch)

WHEELS

(not really important but could atract people)

18 inch wheels:

245 fronts and 265 rears
with 35/40 sidewall

Normals or Supers or even New Drift tyres that can last longer and have more grip.

BODYWORK

(not really important but could atract people)

Nice clean drift body kits would be awesome.

WEIGHT

Real pro drift cars usually weights around 1000-1100kg

Basicly that is about it. Lets see what You guys think of this idea. Also same idea goes for FZD.

#2 - nacim
It would be awesome to embrace drift community in LFS with a XRD. And if the recipe works well, maybe apply this to the FZ5, with a FZ5D.

Good idea Thumbs up
This guy who created the topic (Nikita Makarov) is professionally drifter in Russia, he also won some events and he is very experienced in this, that is an indication that he understands this activity.
btw this live for speed sticker is from his actual drift car - photo on topic

А couple of examples

Wow, nice idea guy.I think it would be coolNa-na
I think, that FZD and XRD it's nice idea.
BUT:
If it is the drift car, then this car need to have a lot of settings, which driver can to change for good result for control car.
More power needs more grip from tyres and others changes of suspension

Caster:
+0.0 to +10.0 grad.

Toe:
Front from -1.2 to +2.00 grad ( Important)
Rear from -1.2 to +2.00 grad ( Not important, but need to be)

Motion range of suspension:
Front ride height reduction from 0.200 to 0.040 m (rear not important)
Front and rear stiffness able to 200 N/mm !!!

And a little bit about tyres and rims size!!!!!!!!!!
It is very difficult to do, BUT:

IN my opinion it need to be like this.
IMPORTANT
Front:
R16 to R18
Width: 195 - 245mm
Profile height in % 35-55

Rear:
R16 to R18
Width: 195-275mm
Profile height in % 35-55

This recept is your future. If do this, LFS will be one of the best simulators for drifting.

Scawen Roberts please, do not let die our favorite simulator

Well done. More ideas. We need to help our devs elaborate.

I want to help to do this simulator better. I playing LFS because of drifting and it's help to do my experience better for real life (drifting and races)
Xrd and fzd is wanted!

No need to quote the whole post though.
Elaborate yes, but don't spam ideas with that need too much work or are just plain useless or dreams, or this thread will end like track and cars that we want to see in S3: useless.
Having more camber, or being able to switch rims would be quite nice.

EDIT: I like the concept.
Quote from kristofferandersen :being able to switch rims would be quite nice

That's a visual feature, not something in connection with a drift car.
I dont want to stop people from talking, that would be stupid, but lease, keep it realistic and in the subject so that devs can actually consider this and know what to do.
Nice vob mod lol

All my ideas are pretty simple to develop using the same base car. I dont see anything bad in spamming suggestions related to D version of these cars. We just have to keep in realistic. Btw this is my kind of dream for LFS.
Maybe he will say something about this. This is a lot faster way to make drift car than making new one and XRR has almost everything what people want in XRD. He only need change steering range and allow normal tires. That's all i don't think it will be take more than 30 min to do this becouse he don't make new car now everyone know's that.
good idea, +1
This doesn't need adding, give us normal cars that racers can use.

I love race ,but i love drift off course
This is 2 different things
Lfs not have first class drift car
idea is ok,look on server list how much people have drift comunity
