Now thats one way to clean the topic..
Well, back to topic.
I am not sure how to think of this man, basically because I lack much knowlege about him, but from what I have understood of the little I have read he did great amounts of work to help the poor people in his country - a good man maybe?

It is also fun how America (the president) has desided to be the kid who does not care to condolence.

Basically:

1. He was a stalin who was speaking spanish
2. He had oil
3. He brainwashed Venesuela just like Kim Ching Chong; look how they weep
4. He considered Bush/Obama/Tony Blair to be imperialist hitlers or smth

Why Barack should be arsed to be Putin/China or other commie crap to go on "OOOOH HE WAS SO GREAT, WE WILL MISS YOU ;((((("?

Edit: Party in hell tonight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiBYM6g8Tck
Venezuelans consider the US to be their enemy. Condolences from us may give credence to claims by vice president Maduro that Chavez was poisoned by american agents. Its better to leave them alone, so they will realize that Chavez had them living in constant fear of the US for no reason.
I hope that Capriles wins the next elections.
hugo Chavez. He was a guy that was a career politician that got too powerful. He used the poor as a platform to get what he wanted Not what teh poor wanted or needed. But that is neither here or there.
He was a typical strong man politically. Only he didn't have enough power to get a complete lock on the country.
As far as Venezuela Becoming a"Mortal Enemy" of the US of A. Nah Not really. There's too much of a connection business wise. Think Conoco. As far as Chavez goes, he just yelled and blamed the U.S. for whatever would keep his supporters happy and in his pocket.
He actually had some sort of stability compared to what things could've been like.
Now with his passing and no one to fill the void, There's nothing to really hold things in check. The Cartels from Mexico have been trying to get a more concrete hold of Central and South America for decades. This will be their golden opportunity. The Columbian rebels FARC, will have a whole frontier to play in. Chavez tolerated them in limited dosages and gave them a little breathing room, but that allowed them to galvanize connections. They will most likely take full advantage of being to fully operate in Venezuela without the limitations imposed by Chavez.
I don't see a good future for Venezuela until all the aftermath of his death plays out.

That is possibly why on the news of his death the second in command said that military operations will be increased to try and prevent such an event. But he did a lot to stop the spiral of fuel prices, IIRC it is .04GBP for a litre of petrol and .01GBP for a litre of diesel. He sold Venezuelan oil to his allies (including London when Ken Livingston was in power) much cheaper than the market rates to keep inflation down there too. They had oil wealth but weren't exploiting it like many other countries would. You could argue for years if that is a good thing or not.

Regardless, I expect some turbulence until the void is filled. If for better or worse we couldn't comment.
Goodnight, Sweet Prince.
Venezuela would be as Rich as UAE and Kuwait if they didn't have a greedy leader that basically spoonfed the poor to get what he wanted, the poor would of even been better off, looking at both countrys from the 90s they where basically identical but it proves Capitalism > socialism every day of the week.

Any idiot who thinks taking power away from the people and giving it to one one person thinks thats for the greater good should really have a hard think about it.
