I can't watch the video as I am at work but if this is even only equal to the first it will be a good game. Hopefully though they don't go OTT on it as I really like the simplicity of the mechanics of the first game.

what i really liked about the first one, is the ease....it took figuring out, but when you did figure it out, it usually want actually that hard

I *really* hope the voice track for that new AI sphere is just a placeholder, the acting is appalling.

It's worth pausing it and reading the notes that accompany each section. An example:

Just watched it again and the AI sphere sounds a lot like Simon Pegg (if he was acting very badly). They should just get him to do the voice, that'd be ace.

there are very few games that are original and worth playing today...portal is definitely one of them, im very curious what engine will be used, but i believe that engine used in portal 2 will be very well optimized like today's source or unreal 3

That looks bloody ace! The sense of humor is spot on: "I've been dead for a while, after you MURDERED ME! We both said a lot of things you'll regret... but we can put our differences behind us for science - you monster!"

The "it burns!" of the toasted gun turrents crack me up and I quite like that new sphere guy.

And the new gameplay mechanics? Spectacular!

It'll be the latest iteration of the Source engine.

So, Portal 2 could be released early... But, there's a catch: they only do it if enough people are playing something the "potato sack", a pack of indie games...

The single player campaign was epic. That's all I'm gonna say since i don't want to spoil it for anyone.
