...It's called "What in the hell is this?"
I've been at the Mosport Vintage event all day (and will be all weekend) and this little number was on track. The driver's arms are literally out of the cockpit, elbows over the 'sidepods.' The gear shifter itself is mounted on the top of the sidepods. Looks insanely dangerous, especially at a high speed track like Mosport.
Anyone have any idea what it is?
I don't have any pics of the driver doing the funky chicken on the track from today, but I'll try to grab some over the course of the weekend.
There's a lot of beautiful machines here this weekend; despite it being a very small event. 2 Williams F1 cars (I think one is a '79 and the other an '80? Not too sure) along with a 'Candy' sponsored Tyrell, and a March of the same era. There's also the 'Tea Tray' front winged March (har har) and a 1968 (i think) Brabham. In the GT/Saloon car groups, there's two BMW M1s, and a healthy dosage of potent Minis, among other things. Lots of neat stuff. It's not as big as the event in St. Jovite, and not even close to the Monterey Historics, but it's close by and there's some lovingly restored classics hitting the track. If anyone here is in the area, I urge you to swing by the track this weekend for some vintage fun
