The online racing simulator
LFS-TV, replay streaming.

Yesterday I wanted to watch a league race. A few hours before the race we made a test to make sure everything works OK. Then, in the race, the same broadcaster as earlier, with no configuration changes, started a broadcast, but none of the watchers (at least 3 that I know of) received the header. The last message was "Connected". We waited even for several minutes to no avail. Any suggestions what might have been the problem?
need somebody to check if my stream works
Quote from tomylee :need somebody to check if my stream works

You can check if it works by yourself.
Yeah, I dont trust myself
stream right now
file failed header check
My clients can't seem to recieve the headers properly. All in all, it's very random ... When it does work, clients tend to recieve nothing but LAG after a few seconds.
sorry to revive this thread. But is anyone still using it, i want to try something but i cant see anyone casting
The PHP scripts still work.
bump
Any new progress on this - espcially since updated insim, patch X etc?
Whats up guys this is the next best way of streaming. Why is this not yet adapted by the original author or a successor.

It's the "best" proof of concept solution right now.. And I'm not sure what you mean by "adapted"?
I mean adapted since afaik it does not work since patch X was released.
I've updated LFSTV.

http://www.triso.de/download/index.php?dir=./lfstv
There you can find the current version (0.0.1.8).

I will also upload version 0.0.2.0 tonight. There won't be a lot of new things in the version, but i will debug some things when im at home.

Greetings,
WolleT
yay! So you're still working on it?
Yes, but i can't spend a lot of time on it.
A Question, If I start LFSTV, Watch a stream, start LFS, LFS crash... hm.. why that?
Hi There,

fireb0llch.... I Guess we were trying LFS TV at the same time.. I saw your broadcast.. I had my broadcast named Test.

Yeap same error for me2, i am starting a broadcast(1st Pc), i went to a second pc and tryed to Watch... LFS Crash...:schwitztwo pc's two Different s2 license, Mine and a colleague of me )

I'll give it a try with 0.0.1.8 version but till now.. 0.0.2.0 keeps on crashing lfs.

So.. I tryed 0.0.1.8 version but i can't do anything due to the message "There is a newer version available. Please update". By the way version 0.0.1.8 has the option to choose track, but 0.0.2.0 doesn't. I've being a bit rude not saying even one Thank you.. So THANK YOU... Keep Up the good work..
1.8 wont work that was the problem because X patch.
@Caesar: My Broadcastname was "Test by Xcite" so I dont think its this problem.... Its still always crashing

Hi,

the track is saved in the replay since patch X. That's why you can't choose the track in version 0.0.2.0. It's not anymore necessary.

Because the error that brings lfs to crash. It's hard to find out, which byte in the replay will produce this error.

I will try to find that bug... sorry

Greetings,
Wolle
Now, I have Xfire (Chat Messenger) on too, and it will show you the Bug... Maybe it helps for you...

Alpha U it says. Think the latest version is only compatible with X. Fot U you should probably use the pre-last one.
I don't think that his (fireb0llch) version is U, it's just the name o the folder

@WolleT. Since you are still developing LFS-TV, could you create a user password per stream.

The reason asking this, is: Let's say that a member of a team is connected to a server and at the same time streaming, if many people (not from the team) connect to his stream, it will be for sure a problem (Lag).

PS. It's just and idea, not a command or something. Thanks again for the great work
I think that watchers are not connected directly to the stream creator but to a relay server. So it doesn't matter, if there is one watcher or there are 100 watchers. It would be the same for the stream creator.
Yep, the streamer has only one connection to my lfstv relay server.

All watchers will connect to the relay.
