The online racing simulator
S3 event in the game
Remove the S3 event from the game and upload the game to the Steam platform. You can earn income from downloads. I am Turkish and S3 money is very high in my country.

So Scawen would need to raise the price by 30% then to get the same revenue after Steam's cut.

After paying for the game, nothing will happen. Tax rates are very high in my country, so I don't have the money to pay. We're missing out on many features. Furthermore, if the game is uploaded to Steam, it will generate a lot of revenue because most features are unlocked.
this has been asked millions of time and the answer was always no, how about you work for 2-3 days and buy the license?

I dont mind if that makes the game more popular xd
going to steam is a no brainer but I also understand Scawen's point of view.

So what you're actually suggesting - the developers of LFS should develop the sim for free? Would you work for free?

very right

You misunderstood, my friend. I think it should be sold on Steam. I also think the S3 feature should be removed. Many people can't afford it and resort to cheating.
you have no idea how dumb your idea is and how many issues it could bring
take a wild guess
A literal child can save enough money in a week to buy at the very least S1, if you're a grown adult I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to save up some money and buy the game?
Because this is an English speaking forum. If you want to write in Turkish, please do it via PM or other means.

My friend, because the salary we receive is insufficient, we spend it on expenses such as rent, natural gas, electricity, water, etc., and our money is very little, and we spend it on needs such as clothes and food. I have no money left to spend on the game, and no money is saved.

no problem
You don't have to go from Demo user straight to a S3 user - you have the option to take it in 3 stages, with S1, S2 and S3 licenses, with each license being the same amount of money.

I think people in Turkey get a whopping 50% discount on the license fees, so that means each license will cost approx £6 / 335 Turkish Lira.

I holidayed in Turkey few years back, and I spent more than that getting a basic haircut. Maybe it would have been cheaper if I hadn't agreed to the hair in my ears being singed?

If you can't afford 300+ lira for a license, I have to wonder how you managed to afford to buy a laptop or pc to play LFS.

We take out a loan and buy it. If you look at the current PC prices in Türkiye, you will see that it is very expensive.

Natural gas? you gotta pay for farts?

I'm not saying that, I'm saying it should be sold for money on Steam.

It's not something like that, it's the fuel we use to heat our homes.
It's my understanding that the S3 price in Turkey (£18) is approximately 1000 Lira. I read on Wikipedia the minimum wage is around 26,000 Lira per month. So this leads me to believe it is around 1 day's work to buy an S3 license.

That is for a product we have worked on for around 25 years, and you keep that license for life, with unlimited access to our services (up to the S3 license level, as long as we continue to work on LFS).

To purchase 25 years of work and unknown future years of work, for one day of your own hard earned cash, doesn't seem really unreasonable to me. I understand that in some other countries, you can work less than half a day on minimum wage to purchase an S3 license. But it's not really off the scale. We do provide services to you that cost money and huge amounts of time.

The developers don't earn that much these days, and we also need to buy food, heat our homes, etc, and spend money on servers to keep our services running.

Nearly all the other products I see on the internet, you have to pay monthly or pay for upgrades in order to keep using them. I think we have one of the best deals available for an ongoing product in continual development.

The minimum wage in Türkiye is 22 thousand TL, the average rent for a house is 10 thousand TL, the rest goes to bills, the rest goes to food shopping, etc. If we pay for the game, we won't have any money left, but if we pay once, there will be no problem.

Now buy and pay once for the license. You will have no problem.
