i got rid of the sequential shifter on my momo and hotwired 2 external buttons...annnd on my other wheel a crapy cheap one i made into a h-shifter and a clutch, oh and i never used the momo pedals, i made my own(but i opened them to take a look and try their pots on my pedals...) :P

uhm...not really. tuning began from tuning the engine to develope more hp...only after came the look customization...just to be clear. serious tuners are doing both but real tuners make theyr own engines...

you really didnt get what i was trying to say. its not always about performace to the max, but more of the satisfaction that you actualy changed your engine how you wanted it. i'm sorry but most of us will prefer a rather "normal" car tuned to be much better then the standard one then a pre-tuned original car. again, its not the same thing! stop comparing the 2. every one can have a good car (bought straight from the factory) but not everyone could have a tuned car...you must know what you want and what your doing before u can tune your engine and the performance of your car (susp, breaks, diff's, etc).

but really i cant understand why are you incapable to understand and accept this things while me i get that not everyone wants to tune theyr cars, and rather stick to the original cars...thats not wrong at all, so why should tuning be purposeless or "lame" as you described it? belive me its not a waist to invest money into a cheap car. for example this is my passion, i could never stick my nose in a brand new good car, whilst i could in a cheap crapy car. this is what i like and want to do, its not like im doing it for the world to see...

first of all, a tuning comunity has much more to offer then ricers...i bet more then half of the people who enjoy racing and lfs are tuning fans...

second of all lets not compare or evin talk about nfs and lfs like they have something in common, exept the words racing and cars (and the name partialy) because they simply dont. its perfectly ok to play and enjoy lfs while u play and enjoy nfs...its like enjoy eating a cake but at the same time enjoy eating hotdogs too! there;s simply nothing between them, exept the relation you guys created...

i asked this q myself, why most of the lfs comunity goes up in flames when it hears bout nfs? i mean, whats ur problem? every one has theyr right in enjoying whatever they want, who are you to say whats "cool" or not? who are you to say ur better then those who like nfs simply because u dont and u like lfs? i think its wrong...unless its something personal just live with it, u dont have any right to talk about others and what they do...(from my pov...)

most of you already know this but im gonna say it again: tuning your car means upgrading its performance...its not about coolnes or bribing. the side effect of tuning is customizing its look, meaning you create a one of a kind vehicle that you personaly like (others dont have to like it...). tuning is a great thing, givin' the fact that most of us hate to see the exact car we own over and over again on the streets. dont criticize tuning because of ricers...everything has its "bad" side...evin lfs or racing.

thers much more to say but im gonna stop here, i think a decent mentality will get what i'm trying to say.

today i decided to finaly play with the engine sound "editor" and i really liked the result of a sound for fzr. basicly the engine sound its the same but with a very nice grunty exhaust. i hope u like it and enjoy it though i cant say its finished yet, i still think its a bit too noisy...u cant even hear the horn in the car...or out

i attached a preview with inside and outside sounds though it sounds much better in game. Enjoy

i don't necesarely have a problem with it when shifting but i do consider that is a bit absurd. and now i am talking about the road cars in lfs compared to RL road cars. for example if u rev the engine lets say, between 3000-5000rpm and u slowly let go the clutch, it overheats in 3-5 sec. now, IRL thats not the case i really went and did that on my golf 3 and nothing no change at all. so... i dont know but i think its very sensible and not really practical (it is practical, i know the facts and arguements, but just not enough)

laugh, laugh, but my dad really had an accident like this 3 weeks ago... he fliped his bmw coupe 325 2 times. fortunetly he didnt have a scretch on him (with no airbags deployed, he didnt had its seatbelt on). the bmw was totaled. a dog jumped in front of him on a rainy night, he asumed the worse that it was a child or something and he avoid it causing the back of the car to power slide .. hit the side of the road and fliped twice into a ditch...

i have a similar thing siting next to me right now with a few more add-ons if u allow me to post some pictiures to suport your theory anarchypredator, that the looks just dont matter! if it's working properly its fine to me! and evin mine i can say its beter then g25 one... (plus allmost, excepting this situations, nobody can see it!)...its been an year now and it still has no problem...

hehe i just got my first car! an 18th b-day present from my dad....a '93 Vw Golf Mk III 1.9sdi CL, 47Kw, 62hp, 156km/h top speed :P It's not fast but great for a begining, right? and the paint its nice also. (i'll update the photos with daylight ones as soon as i'll make them)

oh and plz notice the liceense plate 14 my birthday and LFS, well LFS.

indeed horible crash but still the curent design of the formula1 car is just stunning. getting out of something like that with just a scratch is pretty much unbelieveble and here we are with the facts that it is believeble. stunning, just stunning.

indeed there should be a tier wall on the wall that he crashed into, at least on the innerside of the wall (and i'm pretty sure there will be one at the race)

yea m8 its ok, no worries! first i didn't really recognize you...thought u were some1 else (new member or so).

lol dude i nearly freackd out...as i thought u werent a member and u were useing our skin "illegaly"...:P nice taillights (but why did u put a canadian sign on it? i dont think raz would like that...

i had this problem since patch v i think. and i went through 2 or 3 situations of this kind. first when i alt-tab'd i would lose aa and af but when i did that again they were back...no big deal i said...then it wouldn't work at all, so the next method i found was that when i lose aa i enterd the pits screen then alt-tab to windows then alt-tab back and bingo they were on (all this with catalyst not att). then after a while sudently non of these simed to work anymore. so i went and download ati tray tools and it worked again but this time on all tracks there were places where i experienced some preaty nasty "errors" (faulty card like...lines on the screen comeing from the wheel, roof, fences, track, etc. different colors all directions just like a card going mad) and many call it overheating well in my case it wasen't...the cooler was spining right, card was not overheating. then i installed some new drivers for my ati 9600 series and without att help i was able to get rid of that nasty errors and the aa and af was back as i meantioned first time. then again catalys faild and i had to get back to att again but now to regain aa and af in-game i have to alt-tab reselect a profile then alt-tab back. and i got that faulty card error thing and it pisses me off. soon i hope i get a nvidia card...but untill then what can i do?

i had the same problem but it was caused by updates. when i turned regular updates off and planned my own everything was running perfect. nod32 never slowed down my computer, only when performing an update...

i read that thread evin befor i posted this1, but didnt helped much...i would want to find out what caused this problem. the thing is i cant restore my system because i disabled the option from windows...so i cant comeback to the old settings. but i'm still wondering how is it possible that with no manual intervention to the system what so ever something changed and now i cant restore my aa and af in lfs.

yea well i know, i read the threads about this when i first encounterd the issue but it was manageble until now. i really dont know what changed this? and why? i didnt install anything new, no programs, drivers, or devices...it just happend all of the sudden. strange, and annoying.

ok until now i could manage this "thing" with aa and af. i lost them everytime i switched to windows while on the track, but if i went to garage screen then window then back in-game aa and af were back again. now i dont know what happend but doesent work anymore i cant get aa and af to come back. i reinstalled the drivers before i cleaned them with drv cleaner but nothing. if i select the profile in ati tray tools, the game runs and everything is fine until i window the game. then when i come back, no aa and af and i cant get them back i tryed everything! plz help its absolutely horror withouth them.

perfectly agreed with you bawbag, i was the one that came infront of makinen, but the thing is that i lookd over my sholder before i reversed to the track and didnt see him at that time, i donno if it was lag...but when i lookd it was clear then i saw myself flying, when i realise some1 was there. although it wasent on purpose it was mistake intierly, the hole crash infact, and for that i say again, i am sorry, i was to late on the breaks, cought the slipstream and crashed the car ahead.
