Quote from EsCoRt RaLLy :As the topic says. Ive got a G25 wheel and a black Momo. Problem is i liked the Momo wheel better, however i love the clutch on the G25. Is it possible to use the G25 pedals with the Momo wheel?

First of all, u´re CRAZY! :cookiemon

Second, is impossible, MOMO has wiring and electronics just for 2 pedals, no way you can use the g25 pedals direct to the momo.

What u can do is use a usb controller like Leo Bodnar´s one
http://www.lbodnar.dsl.pipex.com/joystick/

You can adapt the g25 pedal to use it with that controller, is not difficult, the only thing u need to know is the pinout of g25 pedals, then make the proper connection.

Quote from Gunn :I'm using an AMD64 X2 3800 with a gig of DDR2 (533) and a 7600GT. My MB is an Asus M2N SLI-Deluxe. At the rear of a full field of AI at Blackwood in 1280 x 960 with AF and AA maxed I'm getting 30-35 fps. Once the field thins out I'm getting 50-60 solidly, and up to about 70 in clean air. I'm very happy with this performance.

i think 60FPS average is very poor for that rig

i dont get it, in my old rig (x64 3000+ 939 w/ 9800pro) have much more FPS, 45/50 fps at the grid and 65/90 with 1 or 2 cars on front, never drop from 65.

now with my new system, AM2 x2 3600+ w/ 7600GT get 30/35 at start and 60fps average in race, i think is a very big diference. I undertand that dual core processor can be a bit slower for games that not support it, but.. is too much.

Also notice that other sims are running a bit slower, not much as LFS, but slower than before.

Quote from AndroidXP :What was your old system? Also these fps seem quite normal to me, as you essentially have a 2 GHz single core CPU (from LFS' point of view). I only get 30 fps too, at the back of a full AI grid

Same machine with a AM2 3500+ processor (single core), always have 45/50fps at the start and 80/90fps average in race. I Just change the processor.

1280x1024 AAx4 ANSIOx4 all options set for best quality.

Quote from ZORER :by the way, as i know so far, there's no cpu called am2 x2 3600+.
am2's are not dual as well. Are you sure your cpu is dual???

Recently upgrade my system, now i have a AM2 x2 3600+ winsor processor and LFS run a lot slower than before. (my old system have a single core processor with a average of 80/90fps)

I use the AMD Dual Core Optimizer, the MS hotfix patch, AMD CPU Driver, try on/off Cool&Quiet, even hack the register, also try with /usepmtimer switch in boot.ini.. nothing help

I run LFS with 50fps average and in the start grid drop to 30fps. :worried:

am2 x2 3600+
1gb 800mhz ram
7600GT

so.. Q1: yes,, this problem affect me! at least..

Quote from InsaneJeff :How does the H-Shifter work? Surely it'd need some sort of software to tell the game which gear the shifter is in. Or is each gear assigned its own button?

No software needed, windows recongnize shifter like a USB Joystick (in fact is a hacked usb joystick) and every gear is assigned to a button.

Quote from MAD3.0LT :dam awesome pedals man i was thinking about taking car pedals and making a nice cockpit with real car pedals but havent found some good sensors

any cheap lineal potenciometer 100K will do the job.

Quote from Tony Pearce :They look great

Can you adjust the angle of the pedals so they're vertical for mounting in a cockpit?

So they pedals are straight up at 90 degrees to the ground??

If so, could you post a pic of them set up in this way?

yes, the angle can be adjusted.

Here is a pic with the max and min angle posible. (the pedal have 4 different positions)

Quote from neRu :Will it be possible to control each pin seperatly in a serial port? I know there is a ground-pin or two, but the rest?
What if you made it so it puts out 5v on for example pin1, that could be shiftlight, pin 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 could be fuelgauge. Then you could get a hold of an old printercable, simply cut it over, messure out the wires, make your own board where you put in diodes, and then just wire the thing with the given function?

That will only be about 5-10£

That is what i talking about, simple things so we can add a external shift light or a indicator led for LOW FUEL.. simple things

Quote from the_angry_angel :If you've got any ideas, feel free to suggest them. Its possible to overlay new clocks and stuff, on top of LFS, although it can be a little detrimental to the framerate.

A simple program that can send outgauge data to paralell/serial port is posible? (shifter light, RPMs, tire temp, % fuel etc etc)

Then we can attach digital speedometer to paralell/serial ports, leds, LCDs etc etc etc..

sry for my english
