OFF topic

in sweden we call them "Fjortisar". "Fjorton" means fourteen.
A "fjortis" is typically a girl, fourteen years old, who have just started smoking, and acts like they love it, and have done it their whole life. they also drink sweet slush-sugary-drinkely-drinks, and dress all in pink (or in skate/hiphop clothes if it's a guy).
many ppl who are older than 14 can be called "fjortis" because of their clothes, or their childish behavior.
"Fjortisar" also almost exclusively hang on the VERY popular internet community www.lunarstorm.se, wich is hated by almost anyone who is not a "fjortis".

ON topic:

I'd love a moveable trackmap

A LOT of these cars i only want because I've always wanted them since being a kid... for example. the CRX, wich isn't a very great car, but i still feel very attracted to it

Actually, there was one F1 car with some kind of automatic gearbox that whipped the other car's asses, but it got banned before it even got to race one time.... unlike the F1 with dual front tires and the f1 with the funky fan on the back ^^

Quote from AndroidXP :So, you were being lapped, got a blue flag, and didn't let him pass. What's the point here? Ofcourse he should have evaded you but there's a difference between "not letting him pass because you don't want to" and "not letting him pass because you couldn't".

Whatever, using the demo to judge anything but the physics is a waste of time anyways

hey i was in the midle of a turn (a turn where we were he was just 2-3 km/h faster) if i would have let him pass i would have crashed! he just couldnt wait for the straight, so he rear ended me so i crashed anyway....
besides this is way off topic so i suggest we leave the thing...

Well, since u cant calibrate the sidewinder wheels when u have the sidewinders drivers installed that cant be the problem.
Anyway, it works just fine when i use the pedals on the same axis, so theres nothing wring with the pedals either.
good guesses tho
Ill try DXtweak as soon as i get home! thnx for the tip!
Brakes are funny with separate pedal axis

Hey i just got to borrow my friends old MS Sidewinder FF wheel, and wow what a difference from driving with my mouse!
There's just one problem tho... when i want to use the separate pedal axis thing, the brake in LFS just goes nuts...
The brakes dont respond till i've pressed down the pedal about 50 %, and then i press two mm more im at full brake... How do i solve this? its irritating driving with throttle and brake on the same axis...
BTW, i did set the pedals to separate axis in the sidewinder control panel...

Well, maybe... but i dont want to be judgemental
Anyway, the reason that he was behind me and not in front of me was because i came in 50 sec after the start in a 12 lap race, and i didnt want to wait...
not very smart of me but anyway

I really think that ppl are rude. for example (in demo version but still) i was in a race on blackwood GT track, doing my 1.40 laps in the XF GTi (im improving :P)
and some knucklehead who is goin round 1.36 rear ends me because i didnt let him pass, only 2 secs after i got the blue flag (right in first corner and chicane i got it,where he and i was almost as fast))
and he says "get out of the way of real drivers n00b"
sure its the demo but honestly dot many S2 drivers drive on demoservers sometimes? I'd say so, since some ppl on the servers is going REALLY fast....

I'm talking of the feel of the wheel (hey that rhymes )
more than the look. since I'm thinking of modifying the momo from the start by retrofitting ball-bearings or something in the pedals and in the wheel, the bearings in the thing doesn't matter either. therefore i dont really need to buy a new one... I haven't had the chanse to try the wheels with FF on tho.
It really doesent matter, since i dont want the DFP. end of discussion
As I said I only care about how the FF is in the MOMO. I'd like more opinions than the one i got, so please answer my question instead of trying to convince me of buying the DFP

I actualy thought the music was quite fitting... u know, the lyrics "dont need no brakes when ure in the groove" great lyrics choice...
Like the long drifts... what i feel of the skin on bosses car he already knows from another forum
Eleventyseventh wheel thread:)

Hi all! First post here... I've played the demo to death with my mouse now, and i feel i must get a steeringwheel before buying the S2 license. I've already decided to buy the MOMO wheel (the black one) since i think the DFP feels and looks like shit (a.k.a. plastic ) to me, while the momo is like rubberish. I dont care for the 900 degree thingy with the DFP either. The only thing i want to know is, how is the FF on the MOMO? a long time ago i played with a MS sidewinder FF wheel at some computer expo and it felt like the FF was a joke. I dont know how it was setup or anything but still..
The FF is by far the most important thing for me... for example, i was playing sega rally at an arcade I'm working at sometimes, and its no resistance at all, Its just like a little nudge in the hand....
so here's my question: How powerful is the FF in the MOMO? Does the FF "feel" realistic?
