The turn signals can only be operated with the keys 7; 8; 9; 0. This is very inconvenient to use, and I therefore never use them. On Cruise servers, however, the turn signals are needed, and I would like to be able to set the keys for them myself. The same applies to other keys that cannot be changed. And in the new LFS for Light on and windshield wipers.
It seems that the standard setup for the BF1-AIs is better. With my personal setup, where TC is also turned off, they take three seconds longer for AS Historic than with the standard setup that is loaded when "Misc> AI use player setup" is turned off. I geuess they have problems to drive without TC and ABS, because they are not sensitive enough.
The BF1 AIs are really fast in the Pro Mode. Fast enough for me. But i drive not much at time, maybe when i have more training i will be faster than the First Position AI..... I start always in the last position. And using the slipstream for taking over means not that i am faster.
I play Single Player with AIs. I drive the BF1 with 4 AIs. The AIs sometimes crashed before the update and they also crash after the update. I have smooth graphics in single player with a FreeSync Monitor. This doesn't work in Multiplayer. The players in multiplayer have very high skills. I guess to get these skills, you need training in the single player mode. I need training in the single player mode.
Rename the file extension to 7z and extract it with Beyond Compare or your favorite extractor. The AV think only its a virus because the exe file contains a 7z archive.
No. By 300 fps are this whole numbers. every 6th for 50 Hz and every 5th for 60 Hz and with 1000 fps are this every 20th for 50 fps and every 16th or 17th for 60 fps.
No. I made it with "Virtual Controller" now and give the release trigger with the joystick button 2. A Mouse Wheel is like a Axis and have no release trigger. With VC can u change a axis in a button, but then works the release not and without release LFS think that the button holding and it works not. If using Iverted Button you need 2 mousewheel raster for one shifting.
Anyway. it have nothing to do with the time of holding, because it works also when i press my release-button (Joystick2) permanent and then use the MouseWheel, the virtual Button will just be pressed very short, extremely short.
Edit:I use now again the Joystick Buttons for shifting, because i dont want press always the Release-Botton and it worked sometimes not properly. My old Logitec extreme 3d was broken and my new joystick have not enough buttons, but i use anyway this 2 buttons on top. The Joystick is for me only throttle and brake and watch out. In an other driving simulator i use the mouse wheel for shifting and this 2 buttons need i there for watch out.
When i use the mouse wheel for shifting, i have to release the throttle or the shifting will be impossible. When i use buttons instead of the mouse wheel, i can shifting with full throttle. Accelerating is very much more effective when shifting with full throttle is possible and the Mouse Wheel is just the best shifter if you dont have a wheel. Is this a bug or a feature?
And will be V and W sometimes united again or will be there always a Mod-Version? I want a Tractor with a Trailer with steered front axle for learning driving backwards with this
i was testing the Oculus Rift (bad HMD with extremely bad resolution, but it works) and have to say: The stereoscopic Mirrors are amazing. It run not smooth because of 100 Hz Tickrate, but Head Moving is smooth and for example ETS2 (bad physics) have Mono-Mirrors. Please keep this.
But until the HMDs having Freesync is it maybe not relevant.
A good sim (not a arcade sim) like LFS can maybe not having a Frame-Rate which is not influenced by the tick rate, this works maybe only with arcade like simulators.
Now i know how to run LFS smooth like butter, but this works only offline and not online. It seems online are very much more GPU Power needed. The AMD Vega can only be used with full power with DirectX 12. Euro Truck Simulator run not 100% smooth because the GPU run only half power with DirectX 11. Creating alot of pseudo-Frames for heating the Graphic Card is not the right way and make it de facto not smoother.
The FOV-Setup is not the right way to setup a good in-car-view because of the big distortion. Objects in the middle are then very much smaller than objects at the margin. If you setup a extremely wide FOV and turn around you see what i mean. This effect disturb me also by smaller FOVs. Also at 75° is this effect still present, but because you watch also in a similar angle to the outside objects like they projected to a flat disk are this not so much disturbing and cause no motion sickness. There is a reason why some CS-Pros playing in 4:3 with black bars..... The distortion is the reason.
How to make LFS Smooth like Butter with a Samsung 144 Hz Freesync Monitor?
Misc
1. Disable Vsync
2. Maximum Frame Rate = 100
3. Sleep every Frame = Yes (Westhill is also without this Option smooth, but Aston not)
4. Maximum Buffered Frames = 2 (0 and 1 have i not tested)
Screen
5. 1920x1080 @144 Hz. (Must be changed via In-Game Setup)
Only when the Monitor at 144 Hz is no tearing effect, maybe this is the magic Freesync frequency......
The Monitor are in all cases except Full Screen TV better at 144 Hz.
I bought a FreeSync Monitor and at 100 Hz (dont know if FreeSync works with LFS, but without it will be never smooth, dont know why) also sometimes come the common known stutter-time, maybe because CPU/GPU fell out of sync. My Radeon Vega is fast enough, LFS need only 12% GPU.
And i have to say: The FOV-Setup-Possibility should be completely removed. When using 3 Monitor setup is for every monitor another perspective and projection necessary!!!!! And the completely useless FOV like 30° and 160°......... The 160° cause only a extremely distorted picture. And the 30° are maybe for people which playing with a small TV in 4m distance...... The FOV-Setup should be the same like it is. If a Human are sitting in 60cm distance from the monitor are this ca. 60° FOV. Maybe maximal 75° are a Compromise. Because you need a completely different projection technology for a wider FOV, Thats the reason why the Pimax completely fail, because the projection go to a flat Disc and needed is a spherical projection method for wider FOVs with stereoscopic Glasses. Stereoscopic Glasses with wide FOV fail because the projection method is not spherical.
LFS is not able to run smooth with 60Hz or 90Hz because the tickrate is 100Hz.
Scawen please tell your "Motorsports", that 600 Hz are enough and they should change their systems from 1000 Hz Tickrate to 600 Hz Tickrate. I bet LFS will otherwise never be smooth.
And why run LFS out of 50 Hz Vsync after some minutes? Other Games stay in Vsync everytime.
Hoping LFS learn to stay in Vsync with DirectX 11.
