I appreciate you taking the time reply and also understand. Thank you.

I guess I wanted to share my "pain", as I very much enjoyed reading what you have been up to Smile. Good luck and will look forward to the next post, whenever it may be.

Thank you for the dev logs Scawen. Very interesting to read, and a glimpse into all the unseen work. Used to watch Stefano Castillo's streams as well, when he was working on AC.

Good luck, looking forward to the next one.

Quote from Victor :An idea I had when in early development was to create a public mod comments thread for each mod on the forum. All functionality we need is there already - subscribe, notifications, etc.

Then on the mod's details page, I can simply display the same thread with all the same functionality you find here on the forum. It would simply be a forum thread, just displayed on the mod's details page (as well as the forum).

Yes, the resource manager in XenForo works very similar and it is quite ok. Thumbs up

Quote from Scawen :[..]I think it may be a good idea to discuss mods in the Work in Progress sub-forum to get feedback from the community before submitting the mod for review.

This is a very good idea, maybe make it a mandatory condition?

Not only "outsourcing" a (small) part of the review process, but also might help to filter out ripped content.

In any case, glad to see you guys finally opened this new path in the life of LFS. There are many extremely talented and passionate creators around the world, I have seen this countless of times in AC scene. Curious to see where it will go. All the best, looking forward for the first proper releases.

PS: and also we need some "Like"-like functionality for the posts Big grin

It's great to see the progress, it feels like all this sparked new motivation into the dev team. South City became a massive "map", and considering it's a fictional location it's even more impressive to put everything together in a way that "makes sense". Congrats.

Night lightning look fantastic.

Good luck guys and thank you for the update.

Wow, SO looks so different that it really feels like what it might've happened with a city in 17 years Big grin. Aside from the technical side of modelling, Eric has quite some skill as a city architect.

Great work guys, keep the momentum alive Smile.

does this help?

Help? Yes. Answer ? No. Not without additional information Smile. This might be the way the tyre is represented but pretty sure not what the physics calculations take into account.

Last patch (U7) solves the issue. Thank you Scawen.

Fantastic, I can enjoy LFS again. No more jagged FFB on my DD (Simucube1, small MiGe, biss-C encoder). I was in fact asking about it HERE some time ago. Thank you Scawen.

And, if I may, a question that seems to be popular these days:
How many contact points does the tyre<>ground contact patch use in LFS for physics calculations ? One or more ? I am asking because there is quite some jolt when hitting a kerb a bit stronger.

This forum badly needs a like button Smile. Great work Sca(vi)er, glad you still believe in this project. Love these reports.

Sounds good Scawen. Maybe it'll be motivating not only for us reading, but also for you writing Smile. As a side example, I do not play rF2 at all (or very very rarely), but I do enjoy reading their every month report.

Quote from Evolution_R :Live for Speed run smoothest at 50Hz/50FPS or 100Hz/100FPS in my experience...

This is not about FPS.
It's about FFB rate.

Input lag is not the issue. The "grinding" feel is. It should feel very smooth, but it is not. And I am thinking it could be the FFB refresh rate.
OSW and LFS

Hi there,
Recently upgraded my hardware, with an OSW kit. Are there other users around ?

The only sim that works (almost) out of the box is Assetto Corsa. And it is extremely smooth and pleasant.

In LFS while the force (a lot of it) is present, the wheel feels like it has a gear transmission, like in the G25. Might be linked to the refresh rate of the physics ? (what is LFS's, btw ?)

Anybody has some settings to share maybe ? TY.

3-screen and OSW

Hi all,
I have a weird problem, that I have never experienced before with LFS. When using 3-screen mode WITH my OSW, the "order" of the screens, as seen by LFS, is messed up. and the ingame view is like in attachment ! Everything seems to be offset by 1 screen Smile. Wheel goes to the right screen, and the rest follows.

If I turnoff my OSW, then it looks as it should: wheel on the middle screen.

Am I alone ? Smile

I am using Win10, I have nvidia surround enabled, driver ver. 398.82.
Never had any issues with LFS, it was always my go to sim for testing stuff.
I did make a fresh install, with the latest T version. But previous one was doing the same.

Quote from bishtop :One thing i do use for LFS is the degug tool to increase the pixels per display setting to make lfs look more clear

If you use Content Manager, you can set that in AC also.
