I had no trouble, are you using keys for throttle and braking? That would explain sliding.

Do you have a ps3? If so use the control pad like I do via usb, works pretty well

Quote from Bmxtwins :Rofl... maybe he emigrated to UK? Stop being so tough on the guy, his grammar sucks but noone flames someone who has china next to their name if they are using a translator/ their grammar sucks.

What you need to do is put your host password in the airio config file . And in your server type /insim 29999

then start airio up.

He answered yes when I asked if he was British, if you had bothered to read the thread

I might be a bit harsh but nevermind, he will live. Probably can't understand what I am saying anyway.

I don't think your attitude is the biggest problem.

Get yourself a copy of this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Englis ... Lesley-Ward/dp/0470057521

Alot of people in the LFS community come from all over the world, do you know what they all have in common? They can speak English better than you.
If you don't even know how to speak your own damn language then I am not surprised you are having problems with Insim.

Have a read through this, it is a thread about Airio.

Are you actually British?

I dont tend to race alot online due to using an older laptop at the minute, but I find that most S2 licensed drivers are pretty sound to race with and can be quite helpful if you have problems etc.

There is always going to be the odd little gimp wanting to crash and mess around, just gotta ignore it and laugh at them for being so childish.
Get some more experience and try to find a good server to race on before coming on here to tar everyone with the same brush mate.
These threads get annoying, especially when they are posted by a newbie who obviously doesn't have a clue what he/she is talking about.

Less whining, more racing

I use a ps3 pad and keep the same settings that I used for my wheel, you just gotta be gentle with the steering. I can still be a match for experienced G25 users if I pay enough attention

Quote from pik_d :Two things to think about:

The most vocal group is not necessarily the majority.

LFS has been around for the better part of a decade. People who started playing as teenagers are now in their 20s (myself included, I was 19 in December of 2006, though obviously that's not the best example).

You missed my point bud but I think I know what you are getting at.

Obviously not everyone on here is a silly little dork

You are allowed to be a fanboy, this is after all an LFS forum

Quote from Flame CZE :We only know the avg age of LFS users (25,44 years) and still, you cannot trust it

Jeez that old? To look at most of the threads you would think everyone on here was an angry little teen or something.

Obviously not everyone

I use http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk all the time and I tell you what, if people there spoke like alot of the people on this forum they would be kicked off it in a few minutes.

People need to get real and enjoy what LFS already has to offer, it is ten times better than it used to be and I dare say (slowly but surely) it will keep getting better

Quote from e.M :all said before, too bad it wont stop the little whiners

And this forum is FULL of whiners. Never seen so many people talking so much sh!t on any other forum. So much speculation and so many silly opinions.

This wouldnt be the first time an update has been delayed or took a while in the lifespan of LFS. I have been playing since one of the first releases of the sim so I know this much.

Anybody know the average age of people that use this forum?

Quote from 5tag :Thank you and no, it's not forbidden.

K cool, I have just looked through my LFS stuff on this computer and cannot find the program I used, but will check my other pc's and external hdd's.

The program I used looked like LFSTune and it had a slick mod built into it right at the bottom of the car type list on the top right hand side.

Quote from 5tag :Wow... Road cars on slicks... that'd be interesting. Is there any chance you could forward me to that tweak? I have never had one that would let you change tyres or engine layout other than for the demo cars.

You will need to use an older version of S2. I have 100% definately used all road cars with slicks but it was only possible by using two different tweaks at the same time.

I will try and find out what tweaks I used, as I say, I dont use them anymore due to using Z28.

EDIT: can anyone tell me if talking about tweaks etc is "illegal" on this forum? If they are I do not wish to get into trouble and will delete any mention of them from my posts.

Quote from G!NhO :You could only apply turbo's and other engine configurations to the demo cars.

Not true mate, i'll try and dig out the info on what tweaks I used. At one point I was using two different tweaks together but I cant remember what ones they were. I have quite a few on the pc so I will find out.

One was a very simple tweak with pre-made options and was mostly automated etc and the other was more crude that looked like it was made in excel or something. I stumbled across the options completely by accident

Quote from 5tag :But that was not possible for LX cars as far as I know.

All cars, including demo cars. But you have to modify the demo cars differently

Also I dont think the slick tyres could be applied to demo cars, but that doesnt bother me. I use Z28 now anyway so these mods are not available as of yet I dont think

People love to moan and start fights on this forum.

There is nothing wrong with the demo system on LFS at all. If it annoys people that much just dont bother playing it. I played demo for years cus I was skint and it was fine, I didnt moan.

Reach into your shallow pockets and pay the SMALL and REASONABLE sum to unlock S1. Then when you get bored of that pay yet another SMALL and REASONABLE sum to unlock S2

Quote from 5tag :You can't make it have a V8 and why would you use AWD?! Moreso the LX8 GTR featured wider tyres than the LX6 plus they were slicks.

In the previous S2 patch or the one before it there is a tweak available to have either inline, flat, or V configurations, also options to add turbos and change turbo pressure. The same tweak also gives the option to use the slick tyres.

I use AWD sometmes on the LX6 because if you set the differentials up right it is a very fast car and alot of fun. Down to personal preference I guess.

You will need to cheat either way to use the LX8 and it is a PANTS car!

Just use tweak in single player mode and give the LX6 a V8 and AWD. Engine noises are much better in the later version of LFS.

Dont think tweak is illegal is it? It only works in single player mode

Quote from petercollins :Thanks Alec

which driver should I use instead, which one do you use?

Google "libusb-win32-filter-bin-0.1.10.1"

Been using it for a couple of years on various operating systems with no problems at all.

Once you have installed the .exe there will be a file called "ps3sixaxis_en" which you open when the controller is connected, then press the "PS" button on the controller and it should be ready to roll straight away
Alec01

If the controller is properly calibrated in windows there shouldnt be a problem.
I use ps3 controller aswell

If you continue to encounter problems then I would suggest using a different driver for the controller

lol I didnt think of that!

I mean more like testing before the beta is released to the general public, cus surely the devs of LFS need some kinda feedback before even releasing the beta's?

I would like to contribute, anything to speed up the release of more content!!!
