I actually had the same problem with my G29 steering wheel. All I did in the end was install Logitech Gaming Software instead of the G-Hub. Worked like a charm.
I know this thread is about the graphics updates and all around them.
I just wanted to know, how's the progress about the tire physics? What's already been achieved? What's still missing?
Remember Eric said than the new physics already are better than the current ones. So what are the actual changes achieved? I would like to know the current situation with those just as well as the graphics ones.
I didn't see his post, but demo racers can safely post their skins on licensed cars with screenshots made inside CMX viewer as you said, but if the said demo racer is posting his skin through screenshots from in-game images, then that's another story.
If I go into Controller Options, Disconnect the controller from the USB port on pc, then hit Refresh on controller option, the game Freezes. Tried it multiple times, even on the new test patch, got the same result.
Disconnected my G29 steering wheel. Running on WIN 8.1
Wanted to check some replays from 0.6R (iirc)(hotlap), everything loaded and then the game just quit. And took the LFS.exe with it. It's just gone now.
No error messages that I saw, no Antivirus or anything. Weird stuff.
EDIT: It was antivirus after all. But now I cannot even recover the LFS.exe from it.
Can anyone share their 0.6T4 LFS.exe for me? I don't want to install a new game.
I remember seeing some community competitions made by developers for iirc default skins for cars.
Why not use the same tactics, for example, for updated car 3D models? Original dimensions, nothing compromising existing car physics - just pure 3D model.
I think that there may be some very talented 3D artists who would gladly help. Textures could be left for devs to apply.
No Demo racers cannot use any layouts at all. All they have available are 3 cars and 2 tracks (BL1 and BL2) and a parking lot.
To use layouts on server side, it must be atleast S1. And if the server is S1 or above, demo racers cannot connect even if you are using demo configurations.
Or you can set a new start point using Layout editor and spawning AI cars with your skins. Do not forget to set a new start point each time you spawn a car and do not forget to pause the game so that AI do not drive away.
Are you serious? More content for Demo? Why? What have they done to deserve such thing? I mean, we, licensed users, have bought the game (actually paid real money) to get more content we deserve because the developers are people too and they need to provide for their families. They aren't a charity for people like you who cannot wait. Wait. Start working. Make money. Buy the game.
I think that this demo is even too much for such a thing. Unlimited time online 1 track with 3 configurations and 3 cars is a lot for a demo that's free.
The chat messages can be distracting while in race, but I don't find it hard to block chat messages by clicking 2 times Num"-" (if I'm not mistaken, as last time I raced was a long while ago). Yes, you can miss some messages from event organizers but for that they should always use /msg function so everyone can see their messages.
Did some quick digging and as someone mentioned Hungary, I came across a game called Cross Racing Championship 2005. I checked some youtube videos and it looked like you can shift gears with a mouse.
Well... If you make the MRT setup which uses only the first gear and turn off the sound for it, you could make up an Electric go-kart with a very bad battery
