Dear LFS Members,

After 15 years I say goodbye to LFS, I have enjoyed playing it for many years, but the game is fairly extinct with Online Multiplayer and Single Player is very bluntly said but really just very boring. That's why I'm ending my Live For Speed adventure. However, LFS is not an abandoned project and updates are still being released here and there, but these are essentially only test patches and not completely new versions. The game shows well on the community and online multiplayer that LFS is dying out and many servers that are only empty, usually there are 5 servers where players are in and the rest are actually only empty and remain empty and that is unfortunately a pity . In recent months I switched to RaceRoom and there are more players online and also real circuits and cars, which interests me more. LFS had a really nice game in the early years and it has remained nice, only the Race Servers are actually completely gone. That's why I say goodbye to LFS. I don't know if it's allowed to sell my account but then I'm willing to let someone take over my account or else I'll leave it as "abandoned".

I wish everyone a lot of fun with LFS.

I wont recommend you to use a cruise server that being used in the past. This could cost you the reputation on the game/community here. I understand that you want start your own server but I would give the suggestion to start a fresh name, because old cruise servers where old good times, if you want to rebrand, you should recode the same insim as they used before.

I bought a month ago an iMac but windows doesn't supported with a M2 Chip, is there any possibility to play Live For Speed on the iMac for M2 chips?

Well, these people from Saudi Arabia thinks that they a very very big and can threating TC. Well then they are from a very very long way, the problem is that there is currently no option protect servers of these kind of attack. I hope that there will coming soon for game server a protection to prevent this problem.

And Scawen is actually really busy, and porting LFS to Linux/macOS would take a long time, so it's definitely not for now. Use Bootcamp and play LFS on a Windows installation or use Wine.

I use already bootcamp at the moment but it would be great is if porting for macbooks/imac's.

Do a trace route and let the devs know. It may happend that you can be blocked by their firwall. Not sure but it might be possible.

I was thinking about a nice improvement about server selecting, in the latest 0.6 version. What I am still missing in the game what was added first is that people not longer able to select what license they would like to race. Here down below is a screenshot to make it more understandble. I would like to have that back in the game so that people can choose on which license they want race, drag or cruise.

But Scawen, can you make a kind of security to prevent copy Layouts from other servers. Some cruise servers copy a layout from a other server and edit them a bit but then its looks stolen, could you make there a protection for it that only the people who have admin rights can save the layout? This is just a suggestion.

You can buy for £5.28 a 24/7 server at mhservers.co.uk, cheap and full configuration to your wishes.

Try reinstall the game, so first delete the game and re-install lfs.

There are ways to prevent such a thing, if you look at hosting companies, a lot have an DDoS protection, Rack Service and MHServers, well that stands in their description, but I know that there are sources for DDoS, like myself I'm using for my sites CloudFlare and game server, there is also such a resemblance.

LFS can't protect anyone from a DDoS, not even themselves. All you can do is hire a company that protects you, buy the adecuate hardware and not leak your IP address if possible.

All LFS could do is not conecting you directly to the dedicated server, using a proxy throught the master server, but that would increase the latency hugely, so it is not that useful to make it work this way.

I was on a few servers and they where target by a DDoS attack. Maybe it would be great if there in S1, S2 and S3 a DDoS protection like as on websites what you have. Servers getting flooted by bandwidth each minutes. What do you think?

He can build an automatic Copyright year changer in they design. Not hard to code lol

At 2008 i have played on Demo and at 14th of september, i bought my S2 license, and i miss the old times on LTC. Good history!

Thanks Scawen! Now waiting for update 2/2. Update 1/2 is released! I really like it, now we can use 40 cars in the race. But maybe its a good idea to fix the WestHill off-Road tracks adding to the map.

I can't be more happy but that cruise have banned 2 years ago and I am still banned, but I don't mind. I wish you guys good luck!

Oh yeah, lfs doesn't do anything so its now 5 years and lfs lies always about the volkswagen sirocco, when do you think that the update came out? This yeas? NO over 100 years NO!
