That was actually a viewer Chris Obrien that was doing the heel / toeing.. I would say that the Clubsports would heel / toe nicely.. I'll have to try it..

Also, this is a wheel that is in the same price point as a DFGT or Ferrari F430. Comparing it to a G25 isn't really a fair $ comparison.. But.. I would take the Carrera over the G25 right now.. For the wheel. Pedals I like the G25s better.. but.. not better than the Clubsports.

To the person that mentioned the brake looks a little weak.. It gets progressively stiffer, but..one of the recommendations I made was to add a spring in addition to the load cell to add more tension / return.. Also the throw can be changed by moving the mount up one hole.. Im going to try that and see the difference. Overall, these have a great feel that I definitely prefer to the G25s pedals with Nixim mod...

The RS GT3 is going to be a hell of a package with these pedals. I also can't wait to feel the force feedback effect on the brake when the driver / plug in is made.

Also for those of you that want to change to maybe just a Porsche wheel and keep your G25 pedals, Fanatec is making an adapter to plug directly into their wheel.

Darin

Quote from Gnomie :Hey Darin, I understand that Thierry is "Mr. Heel&Toe". How does he like the Clubsports for heel&toe-ing?

Also, I know you've tested the Nixim mod for the G25 before. How do the Clubsports compare to the G25 with Nixim?

Thanks!

Thanks !

They've assured me that the production wheel will be quieter.. I also noticed that unless you're driving like Shaun.. It's not too bad.. My friend Thierry was over again last night running some open wheel stuff and it wasn't loud at all..

Thierry also doesn't saw the wheel like a mad man..

Quote from DevilDare :Nice review, that new wheel looks very good. Going to consider getting it if they make it tad quiter.

sorry I didn't reply here sooner.. The Clubsport pedals as well as the GT3 will be on the show.. We have a set of the pedals here now.. Very nice ! We also have a Carrera wheel as well and that will be on the show soon too.

I also agree with some of these posts.. G25 pedals with this wheel is a great combo.. The GT3, is going to be awesome with these clubsports !! I tried the G25 pedlas with the Carrera wheel and was a nice combo !

Not yet.. Sounds like a great report.. We've also lined up another interview with Victor.

It's Michaels department now

Can't wait to hear what he has up his sleeve next

Quote from yaper :Darin.

Was LFS's InSim protocol mentioned in any of your programs?
If not, I think is worth to grab couple of minutes and show this unique feature to other sim racers. For example taking the CTRA system as a greatest example of what can be done using this feature.

Alright..my turn.. I had him take out the race reports because his portion of the show was over 11 minutes with it. With what he gave us, we were still at 1/2 hour which is a little long for the internet..

Now.. Race reports.. We love them.. Love to do them.. But the bottom line is.. They don't get anywhere near the views that anything tech, software or hardware related gets.

As much as we do this for passion, we are in it as a business too.. The numbers spoke and we had to listen. Do you think a TV show stays on the air if no ones watching it because of passion ? Not any major ones that have sponsors and advertisers.

Example... We did a race report only show here..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSJ2y6hYrns
Lots of LFS coverage too.. Not even 3000 hits.

The episode that Michael was in is almost to 5000 in a week. That race report has been up for a month.

Does this mean we will never do race reports..no.. It just means we will not put as much energy into them and they won't take center stage.. unless.. it's a major competition, where a major prize is given away.

Now to the critisim.. This community out of all sim racing and gaming communities is without a doubt the harshest. We have learned a lot from here both good and bad..Fortunately, we have never let the guys that have nothing better to do than start a fight here get to us..

If anyone has a complaint about the show format, direct it at me. I cut the race reports out.. Michael did em and a good job at that and they will air..

One last thing.. Aren't we all here to race ?? STFU and go racing..

lol.. you can say that again about Johnny Fatality.. clueless.. and claims to be the ambassador of esports. Says that sim racing isn't an esport really.. "doesn't take the strategy and reflexes of a shooter game"... LOL

The Asian kid.. actually turned a decent lap and won that processor in the long run.. He was a college student and would sim race if he could afford it.

Quote from JJ72 :meh....that whoever first professional gamer in U.S. guy is a moron.

p.s. and a nerdish asian "sim-racer".

More of Michael coming up on Episode 29...

Quote from FOX 1977 :I must say i did like this last episode format. Michael brings up some freshness to the all thing, in his own way.
I think that giving the community some space in the show a great idea, and im looking foward for the next show.
About the "grid" game, i must confess that two mounths ago i did test my wheel and pedals on a PS3 with a friend using "Grid", and yes it is still a game but as Darin as said...it has alot of things from the sims and it was fun to play.

P.S. - ( Idea: Maybe the lfs community awards could have also a space on ISR? )

Cheers...

First thanks for the compliments everyone.. We really like having Michael on board and are looking forward to having him with us for a long time.

$0 for "plugging" Grid.. We talked about their new cars. We talked about iRacings new cars, a real driver using Arca sim racing, etc.. Console racing took up about 1 minute of a 30 minute show.

Inside Sim Racing is about racing period in any type of simulated form.. You said the key word.. "racer".. Yes it has arcarde type physics..But..Grid has a ton of sim elements in it.. If you don't like watching that portion of the show, fast forward

One last thing.. This community of ours called sim racing, is far too small for a company like ours to remain in existance.. We had to do something to bring in more viewers and sim racers.. So far it's worked with very few complaints. I was honestly against console racers until I got one and realized how much fun you can have.. When I want my true simulated fix for racing, I jump in my sim rig

If you haven't tried a console racer, with a wheel and pedals.. maybe you should.. They are really starting to become more sim like. There's a lot of people out there that can't afford $1000 (minimum) to get started in PC racing.. For 1/2 the price, you can compete on an PS3 or XBox and race against humans.. Thats racing...It's also very plug and play friendly and a lot of people don't have the time and or patience to become competitive in our world..

Let's not jack this thread more than we have.. If you'd like to discuss this with me further, feel free to email me at darin @ insidesimracing.tv

Quote from ATC Quicksilver :Great episode, but I'm left wondering how much money you got to plug Race Driver Grid. Perhaps I have misunderstood the aims of SRT and Inside Sim Racing, because covering Race Driver Grid seems more like plugging a mainstream popular arcade racer than giving people an insight into the niche of sim racing, and giving small games with small budgets the advertising they deserve.
