I'm reviving the thread now because I just thought to do the same suggestion but I looked up if someone have done a suggestion for this already.

This would actually be nice thing for mouse drivers. For accelerate I prefer lower button control rate and for brake I prefer higher. I think many mouse players would be glad if this was added.

i completely agree that mouse steering slider should be added. Would make life much easier.

Quote from ImudilaSkyline :as you are from finland you could try using the old trick of using the wheel like a mouse, e.g. using low degree of rotation, like 180 degrees or lower. works pretty well if u get used to it

I've been thinking to try low degree of rotation too, but idk.

ps. How does it matter that I'm from Finland :DD

Go to settings - Controls - Axes/FF... Then make sure these "-1000 and 1000" are the same number, but with - in front of the left one. You can also press the black dot next to it to make it reset.

Quote from THE WIZARD DK :was it not @MrJonttu who gained at Airattack recently top height (15 meters) or something? there actually is a height in AA. i seen it before too if someone fly above a certain ground level. detection seems simular to the drifting time. its very rare it happens though. i think i can count it on less than two hands ive seen it. but its defo there. maybe Rane can enlighten us with that.

I don't remember when I have flied Big grin

also. if someone is up for it ,this could perhaps help many to properly adjust their mirrors.
as you can see in the thread, some dont even know you can do this. suggestion is to make some simular videos within the LFS world
(if someone should feel like it)

I just use the virtual mirror. In my opinion its easier to watch, only 1 to watch instead of 3. Makes it simple, I like simplicity

Quote from Bose321 :It all depends on the user. I believe the fastest people are actually using keyboard and/or mouse because that's faster than a wheel.

But I guess in the sense of realism it's a step up to be able to control your brake/throttle better. But I don't think it would be comfortable or nice to use. Just get yourself a wheel as well (second hand or a cheap Logitech wheel or something).

I have g29 but I want to be faster so that's why I use g29 pedals and mouse. Only downside to mouse is the on or off gas/brake, that's why I think that mouse + pedals is the fastest method because the throttle control. I find it comfortable/nice to use when you set up them the correct way.

I want to hear your thoughts about mouse + pedals as controller. Is it even that much faster than wheel if used correctly. Also do any of you use mouse + pedals. I use... Tell me your thoughts!

I know this is old thread but I checked your lfsworld profile and you have been online in 2020 so I'm gonna ask if you still have that cromowheel texture? I would like it if you still have it.

Especially newer players just blindly drive back to track because they don't want to lose their position and don't know the rules of clean racing.

Thanks for the tips! I didn't know those things you told me. I will keep those in my mind just in case I make another layout sometime in the future :3
Bridgefield 2020 racetrack made by Joz

Hello racers! Smile

One evening I was bored and I got an idea to make a layout. So here it is now. It has some wide straights but also tight corners. I tested every type of car and I have to say that for the best racing experience you should use UF1, XFG, XRG, LX4 or MRT. The track's name is Bridgefield. Couldn't think any better name Big grin

This is my first ever race layout so please don't judge me too hard Big grin but you can tell me how I can improve and what's good/bad in that layout. Feel free to use it for any use you can think but if someone asks for the creator, tell them its me Big grin. The layout has 1 split time and 40 starting positions. I did most test laps with xfg and my best time with xfg was 1.12.60

Here is quite slow drive through the track:

Here are some raw screenshots:

The pits and starting straight

The turn before the bridge

The only split time is at the start of red & white barriers after the bridge

The final turn before the straight

Tell me what time you got and which car :3
