XRT Bodykit Problem (New with PS)
Hey, i want to make a pretty simple skin for the XRT.
I use the Ectype bodykit but as it is just 1 .JPG file i dont know how to work with it without making the body kit details (If you call it like that)
dissapear. Like i want to make the car yellow or something, how do i do that? Can someone help me with this? Something with layers i guess?

Greetings,

Rick
Set the bodykit layer as 'multiply' on the right hand layers menu. Theres a little drop down which is 'normal' as default, just switch that to 'multiply' and it will put on the small details over top of the skin which you create.

A shadowkit or bodykit will usually bit the top most layer when setting it to multiply.

If you haven't done already, head on over to http://www.lfs-gear.com/kitz.html and grab the pro kits, which should show you what layers are about really. Working on each layer is a hell of a lot easier than just one flat image.

If you're not sure with anything on Photoshop, read a few tutorial or just ask more questions on here, someone will help.
Dont just edit the JPG file. You need the original psd format of it.

Btw, what program are you using atm?

Try

Adobe photoshop CS3 Trial
Paint.net
Gimp
Paint shop pro.

I think that your using Mspaint

Also, Download the Skin kits which are very useful and better than normal plain skinning.
