boring skin
Paint kills the quality, its not so bad if you save it as bmp, but jpeg jeez it destroys it i guess thats what you are using right? Try gimp thats great and free, read the tutorials and in no time you'll be a skinning pro . Have you guys got a website?
Guys thanks for the comments but we really don't care about skins

edit: that's a temporary skin anyway.
New OLFSL Quali System
Could all team members please try out the new quali system that is in place for the OLFSL.(it is setup so we can practice, the times will be wiped ready for the real quali next week)

Passwords are on the website & you can also view the current qualifying order.

So far Wakey & I have been on OLFSL Qual by 500servers & set some pretty good times. 1.28.1 to beat folks .

Good Luck
I set a laptime of 1.28.83. in offline practicing I hit my barrier again, 1.28.77. I set the brake balance to %60 but still lock the front left, I'm trying to work it out now. It heats and loses traction in about 8 laps And there's still some understeer which I can't cure. (I mean yes I can cure it by making the car really oversteery but LX6 in south city with all those bumps... mad)

edit: Have been working on an FBM skin, I think it's finished. If there's anything you don't like, tell me and I'll change it.

Team News!
We have a new driver on trial with us, so please keep an eye out for:
[tPM] Luke, our newest recruit .

Parkfield Motorsport are now 21st in the CTRA team rankings. Well done everyone, we are improving each & every day & I am sure we will be even higher up the list by the end of the month.

Thanks for the FBM skin Burak . I cant wait to see what it looks like on the car & hope you will all try it out too. Constructive feedback welcomed.

Happy Racing

p.s - tip for the lx6, reduce the brake strength, if it still persists then soften the suspension a little.
Thumbs up for the skin Burak
Thanks. Doing my best

Anybody want to talk about the race we had yesterday?

I had ups and downs, qualified 12th with last minute flat shifting on the straights, I beat my pb. I had a bad start, GIJOE passed me on the first lap, then on second ant was in my rearview mirror Hopefully, I didn't make a hash of it, played it safe and let him pass. On 3rd lap, he lost a bit of time then I caught him, passed him and I was just behind GIJOE. Then he broke earlier than I expected, I slammed the brakes and went wide which caused ant to get the inside line and fly past me. Zeugy by the way, used this opportunity wery well and with the help of the slipstream of ant, we were 3 wide on the start finish straight (which zeugy thinks we made a perfect sandwich ). Then I eased off a bit, let them past me and then caught zeugy again. I think in lap 5 I lost my concentration and lost it on the second turn, which helped who cares and hising to catch up. They were going well and I had quite a lot of dirt in my tyres, so the car was sliding like hell for the 5 corners, and trying to defend my position I made some mad but safe (!) moves to prevent them passing me, then on the backstraight, hising went past me, then I caught him in the slipstream and I tried to outbrake him but just inside the corner the car understeered and tapped hisling, and I backed off to let hising and who cares past me.

Then I started to feel real tired, haven't been in a close up race like this since january. I again made a couple of small and not much terrible mistakes, and on the second to last lap, I saw sparkydave in my mirror. I tried to hold him back, but he was so eager to pass I let him go in the slow chicane. I could slam the door as he couldn't outbrake me but I tought if I didn't let him pass, he would use the slipstream on the straight and pass me again so I thought "just let him pass, then you can gain your position back in the straight yourself". But it didn't go well, I ran too wide and he put a long gap so I finished 16th.

That was one good race, even I lost 4 places at the end I'm not sad
GM cup
I had a good first half of the race making up five places in the early laps . I got myself up to 10th & then made a silly mistake which soon grouped GiJoe, me, burak & zeug up for the most exciting part of the race. GiJoe braked early in the last corner & I took advantage & re took my place from Burak, then we had a zeug sandwich , after that it was quiet until another small mistake let zeug past, we were almost identical pace so it was a shame my pitstop was so very slow & dropped me down to 19th.

All in all a bit boring as it was Westhill but some good close racing was had by all.
Happy Birthday for yesterday Burak I hope you had a good one

Yes it was my best birthday so far, thanks for announcing the cup here
Well done to ant who finished 6th after starting 14th How you managed to pass 6 cars before T1, that'll be an eyecandy to watch (Now the flag is given to luke and wakey. Then us)

Great racing mate!
Team News
[PM] Luke is now a fully fledged member of the team, so I would like to welcome him to the team
& wish him all the best with his future racing with us, here at Parkfield Motorsport.

We also have a new trial driver who has just joined the team. I will announce him in due course.
Infact I may as well do it now. I would like to welcome our new trainee [tPM] ROLLY
We continue to go from strength to strength.
Well done to wakey who finished 6th in his pool, and congrats to hasse and isty finishing in good places. And well done to me who started 5th and finished 12 damn I think I made a total of 15 passes Caught in incidents twice

Ant, I think what you've said was right. If we managed to hold the car's nose in the right direction, we wouldn't have a problem (which I couldn't, or let's just say, they didn't let me )
