3/11/2008 - X2 Development Now Fully Underway


Here at UKCT, we've been taking some time out to do our own things for a couple of months. While we've continued to develop the public CTRA X-System and to further stabilise and optimise the software, we've also been preparing the groundwork for the next generation of CTRA server - the Leagues & Events System, known as X2.

X2 addresses the next level of online competitive racing, focusing specifically on leagues and events.

We don't want to give too much away at this stage, because there is still much work to be done in developing the system and adding to the featureset. Here are some hints at what to expect:
X2 promises to offer a new, exciting and above all accessible approach to organized racing in LFS. With X2, anyone with a good idea will be able to organize and host a race or league to their own specifications, all within X2.
X2 will also offer an unprecedented team-oriented interface, providing maximum live race data to team managers, with in-built calculators and in-depth progressive statistical race analysis, all available in one place, before during and after the race.

We are still weeks away from beginning X2 trials, but we're excited about what's coming and wanted to share a little about it.
