ok...im looking for a better pc.
now ive choosen all my stuff beside the GPU.

heres what ive picked so far:

MoBo - MSI K9N Neo-F V2
CPU - AMD Athlon64 X2 4800+
Ram - Corsair DIMM 2 GB DDR2-800 DHX Kit

my budget isnt really high, around 250-300 € so i have to choose carefully.
now im looking for a GPU....was looking at a 8600GT which would cost about 90 € (so, within the budget).
what else could i take?
max 100 €.

oh and i dont want ATI.

You're really going to get the same answer from everyone. 8600GT is fine for LFS and stuff, but if you can somehow afford it, the 8800GT is much more powerful than the slight number difference implies. Pure and simple.

Yeah, other than that, the 8600GT is good. On second thought, an 8600 is a better match for the rest of your system as well. What version are you planning on getting, 256 or 512 MB memory?

since the price difference isnt that big i thought i get the 512 mb version from asus.

Asus EN8600GT MAGIC/HTP/512M is what ive choosen.

as nobody said something bad about the card, i guess its ok?

wait a little longer and buy the Geforce 9600
