Is it possible to make rain mod?
Just a quick Question,Is it possible to make a rain mod with rain actually falling from the sky?

EDIT: This was made 2 years a go. Don't flame.
Quick answer for a quick question.

no
i wish but its not

Like Nathan_French_14 said NO. But it would be very good.
It would be good i agree, but i would rather see more cars and tracks before rain/variable weather is introduced. Either that, or updated physics.

Would a mod be the best way to do it though?

If it was available for anyone to add a rain mod, what would you guys rather have? A user made rain mod or developer made rain in LFS?

Yeah, but then you need to make those things move also on glass to clean it.
i rather just have the physics of rain but its not actually raining (falling from the sky)theres just rain on the floor cause its easier to make u no mod. and as u can tell i would beat all of u cause im.... look at my namelol

u cant beat me im in s2
i can maybe in the fbm
probably not most of the cars but i would like to drive somthin like the lx6 in the rain that would need some serious skill
Rain mod physics? Max air pressure, max suspension, Max positive camber. Enjoy!

Proper rain simulation cant be "Grip = .5", it has to accurately model the way the water moves and it's affect on the gtrack (ie bringing all the crap to the surface)
:iagree:
Dusting this off...
To round this off i'm going to say that rain simulating is a VERY hard thing to produce within about 5 years...you have to program the physics of every single byte of water and combined with wind aswell would be VERY hard to do, windscreen wipers are easier but it seems to me that it's pretty much impossible to do this. But if anyone has a baby soon...teach them programing...let them have a go at it in there teen's and late childhood...

Cheers,

Matt

P.S sorry for being late to respond

Thank you for letting us know, mister. Also, thank you for bumping one year old thread, for absolutely nothing smart.

Facepalm to the post itself, "very hard to produce within 5years" LOL!

Or you could just add slicker conditions to track and add shiny textures, noob :P
Rain is one of the mod's I'm currently working on using LFSLapper.

Bit hard, as, without getting too technical, I'm having problems with the car's grip co-efficient, as anything more than a very very light shower can send you spinning.

I've done a video, but it was a bit cold when recording, so rain is more like slush.

A) Do you even know what you're talking about?
B) That brings an entirely new meaning to the word "late". You bumped a 2 year old thread -_- Just because you may not have been born when it was started doesn't mean you need to give your "expert" opinion :/
Wow Epic Bump of my 1st ever thread.

Thanks lmao

Sorry for my ignorance, but have you tried editing the tarmac surface's grippiness or the tyres' grip to rain conditions individually?
You can edit the grip of a track?
Quote from Bmxtwins :You can edit the grip of a track?

I don't know. Probably if you mess about with the grass/sandbox areas surfaces and put their values in the tarmac surface but this is just my ignorant programmer's opinion (my opinion, in other words).
I see . I think just messing with grip values of track surface might work better.- if possible

or taking the values from rally x
