The online racing simulator
assign 'show racing line' to wheel button
I would like to assign my wheel's '3' button to toggle on/off the 'show racing line'

I seem got it wrong... but do anyone have idea?

My script is

/button 3
/press 4

Seem not working.
*cough*

1. Go to Controls > Options > Ctrl +
2. Assign the wheel button of your choice to a free Ctrl+X slot (for example to Ctrl+F12)
3. Set the Ctrl+F12 action to "/run showHideLine"
4. Create a .lfs script in LFS\data\scripts named "showHideLine.lfs" containing nothing but the single line "/press 4"

Or alternatively, if you have a wheel driver software capable of this, just assign the 4 keystroke to the button with that.
:lovies3d: thank you !!!
Or, a much easier way without scripts :

1. Go into options, controls.
2. Find an unused slot (any) in CTRL+ or ALT+.
3. In the message area, type /press 4
4. In it's corresponding "wheel buttons" entry, press the button (should be [none] by default), and then press the button on your wheel.

Done!
Duh, that's correct :dunce:

I was thinking too much in toggles and more complex scripts like I'm using to notice the simple solution

just press 4 godamnit :P
Yes, I don't see why you want to map one button on to another button...You either have it on or off, it's just as easy to press 4 as a wheel button...
