ok, i want to host a server,
when i go on my pc, i can host server, people can connect etc...
when i try it on my server pc, i get: client connect: failed or so,
all ports forwarded on router, afaik olso on firewall of pc :s
i have tried alot of things i could think of, but still no luck :s
the server has a fresh install of xp home w no antivirus

Also, not mentioned in the thread: XP Home has a service called 'No Heat No Boom' enabled by default which you should disable to run LFS servers.

where can i dissable it?and i allready followed that guide

well, i'm installing xp pro on the pc, if the setup goes well, i hope the server will run on it :s

xp pro sp2 installed
all ports opened,
still no luck :'(
now its giving client connect failed
if i join via specific and then internet,
via lan it works

The correct ports WONT be open, or you already have a server using the same port.

only server running,the firewall has all the needed ports open,
and my dads pc has firewall off and he can run server,
if i turn firewall off, i cant :s

What firewall are you using?

windows default 1,
no anti virus,
just the updates and sp2µ
dint work with no sp either

still no1 with any idea?
