LFS Mouse Steering in Assetto Corsa
Bit of a weird question, but recently I started playing Assetto Corsa alongside LFS and since I don't have a wheel I use mouse steering for both. However, AC has very weird and sluggish mouse steering compared to LFS, which uses something like raw mouse input for the steering, it's not very realistic that I can "yank" the mouse and have the wheel instantly turned to that position, unlike progressive steering in AC. I really do want this effect in AC aswell though, as it makes saving spins/correcting rear end much easier.

Does someone know of a way to create this type of raw/linear sort of steering in Assetto Corsa, using Content Manager/Scripts whatever?

Sorry if this is the wrong forum to post, thanks in advance!

Check this video. Its in Portuguese-BR but i've added english subtitles. I honestly think AC Mouse Steering default implementation is quite bad so there is this solution. Most of the scripts i show are from LFS Forums, some edited and made by me also. Any questions feel free to ask Big grin

Thank you, I checked the video out. Doesn't look complicated to do, however I'd prefer something without using external programs, if possible? By "scripts" in my original post I meant CM scripts under CSP->General patch settings>mouse steering tweaks->script?

If there's no other solution I guess I'll resort to the video you posted @PedroXDBR
Well sadly i dont think there's any. Maybe you'll find searching the internet some config presets for mouse steering, but not the way you asked.

Maybe its something thats configurable with sensitivity settings or other parameters in CM or AC, just double check that.

Is the way you want it to behave like: pushes mouse quickly to the right -> in-game steering wheel slowly turns right? If so, you can edit those scripts on the video using ChatGPT (since its python code) and ask how you want it.

I want it to be as linear as possible, like, exact mouse movement = exact wheel movement. I also see there's some self-centering and wheel turn compensation, which I don't want
These are settings inside the scripts that can be tweaked. A value of 0 means its disabled. All code is commented explaining what each line do.

Also this linearity thing is configurable in Content Manager i think, but by default it should be 100% linear. Those more basic stuff should be configurable iirc. But you always have that tutorial i sent you Wink
