RTFR and RTFR XL 2022 main info - WCL sponsorship and Sim Broadcasts livestream

Hello,racers!

After 3 years of successful sponsorship, team World Class Lions are willing to keep their support and offers money prizes for RTFR and RTFR XL also in year 2022! There will be few minor changes, but generally speaking things won't change much - best drivers will receive nice bonuses for their efforts. Full details can be found in Sponsorship document.

For season standings the same points system will be used as in the evergoing rating system - for full details hower mousepointer over rating sheet's green colored title bar, here are the links to both spreadsheets: RTFR and RTFR XL.

Now about the changes:

* Division in 2 seasons in RTFR - the shorter event will now have two 10-round seasons in 2022,first will start with 1st event of the year and after summer break the 2nd season will start on 16th august and last until the december. Each season will have it's own standings and winners. The RTFR races between these 2 seasons will count as non-championship - just like in old times,we'll be racing just for fun and overall achievements.

* Best 10 of 12 rounds count towards RTFR XL - the longer event is focused on endurance and therefor will last whole year, but there is a releaf for those being out on vacation at some point as only best 10 points scores will count to season total, just like in 1st year of sponsored championship.

* Removal of teams championship in RTFR - last season had a new awards list for best teams which unfortunatelly wasn't a very intriguing one. Not that we want to complain about someone, but the competition for table lead in this championship was rather non-existant with domination of a single team, while remaining teams were spreading out and had very few positions changes through the whole season.

* Points system update for RTFR - generally the system won't change, only the amount of points and also count of multiple points scorers will be increased as during the previous season there were way too many 1-point earners. Previous system awarded 1st place with 10 points,2nd with 9 points ... 9th with 2 points and 10th and below with 1 point (extra point for each position with every 3 drivers more starting). Now the amount will be increased to 20 points for 1st place,19 for 2nd ... 2 for 19th place and 1 for 20th and below, while keeping the extra points system also alive - 23 race starters will mean 21 points for winner etc. Qualifying and fastest lap points will not be changed, therefor will have a bit smaller effect on totals. RTFR XL points system will not change as it has it's own attendance change adaption system.

* Mods will also be raced in RTFR - with the latest patch we will also follow the flow and include user created cars in our races, mixing slowly in the list of already well used LFS standard cars. A spreadsheet "RGE approved mods" has been created to keep track of cars that can be used in our events. With time more mods will be tested and more of them will receive green light and full approval and if some modders will try to make fools out of us - they'll will be banned from our events. Currently we'll mix mods in to be featured in every 2nd to 4th normal RTFR.

* Mods can be selected for racing in RTFR XL - besides the winner's glory, the XL version has always given the winner the chance to decide combination for next race. From now on also mods will be available for selection, but they will also have to yield to same selection rules (used car cannot be selected in next 4 races and the class - in next 2 races),while mods in general cannot be selected in 2 following races. The spreadsheet "RGE approved mods" has already listed all mods that from first glance are acceptable and all have received class rating to make clear what's not available if a class is locked out.

The RTFR season will start on 4th january and will keep the usual semi-weekly schedule for 26 total events (middle 6 - non-championship),while 1st RTFR XL of this year will take place on 25th january and happen every 4 weeks except there will be 6 weeks break between november and december races. Both events have been entered into lfs.net racing calendar, where the combos will be updated as soon as possible - the combo for first RTFR will be posted this sunday, while the combo for first RTFR XL has yet to be subbmitted (at time of this post) by the winner of previous race. Info about each event will be posted in this forum subsection as it was always done previously in the information threads.

In the 2021 Sim Broadcasts streamed RTFR and RTFR XL races with full commentary and boosted the attendance to full servers with their promotion. This year won't be much different - the team has agreed to livestream the "championship" races at their availability and keep the promotion of this event alive. As before the livestream will focus on the action during the race, starting their broadcast before it with their pre-race information.

Additionally you can visit SimBroadcasts.tv for their full streaming schedule and contact,or their lfs.net forum thread for local updates.

2022 Season 1 RTFR final standings

4th year of RTFR standings based tournament is a bit different - it's divided into 2 seasons, each just 10 rounds long,1st of those is now complete and this is the recap. With kind promotion of SimBroadcasts.tv attendance levels are still high, where sometimes not everyone can join the server as it has simply reached it's maximum capacity, while only one of the 10 rounds had smaller attendance than 38,averaging 39.8 drivers per round. During these 10 rounds we're just a single driver short to reach 100 drivers count in the points scorers list. 5 different drivers could drive their cars on the victory lane,2 of them multiple times.

RTFR 2022 Season 1 standings winner: YES V. Laguckas
The lithuanian drastically increased his activity this year and that resulted in success - he won 4 of first 5 rounds, scoring a total of 7 top5 finishes,5 pole positions and 2 fastest laps of the race. Last year V.Laguckas joined 6 rounds of the 25 rounds long season, winning one of those, finishing in top5 on 2 others, scoring also 3 pole positions - that resulted in 16th position in final standings.

The only driver with realistic chance to overturn championship outcome was Fatal, who was just 7 points behind standings leader before final round and reduced the gap by 2 outqualifying him,but could not deal with the tricky car well enough and had to settle for 2nd place in final standings, gathering up 6 top5 finishes with a sole 2nd place finish as best result, scoring also 2 consecutive pole positions. Fatal finished 11th in last year's standings with 3rd place finish as his best achievement. Last year's champions biggest rival was Unite, but in 1st season of this year he had to retreat by one position, finishing 3rd in 4 races, scoring also a pole position and a fastest lap.

The defending champion R.Kardol did not attend 2 rounds and was classified 4th in final standings, still he scored most podium finishes - 7,one win and 4 2nd place finishes. 2020 standings winner Gábor finished 7th in standings this year, winning 3 races, but the first RTFR scored standings champion from year 2019 Botsi attended just one round this season, finished 2nd and is scored 34th in standings.

After the 2022 season 1 we will have now 6 RTFR races which will not count to any specific standings,so it's sort of a summer break for drivers aiming for prizes and honors, but racing will not cease - we'll just continue just like in old times, first of these races already today with a differently named VW Beetle. 2022 season will start on 16th august with a street legal car race, currently no more info available. RTFR XL will continue through whole year with scored standings, dropping 2 worst points scores from standings, next race is in 3 weeks with a modern F1 car in Aston!

Congrats. It was a closely fought season. Can't wait for season 2 in a few weeks!

Sponsors geetings and prizes sharing for RTFR season 1 of year 2022
Early Summer Greetings from RGA's RTFR events sponsor

The 1st RTFR season of year 2022 is now completed and final standings announced. Info of prize winners and how to get the prize will be share within this post.

RTFR has really continued to boost its popularity when we have seen mostly full grid of competitors from race to race. The success is built together with Rony's RGA organisation and Pete alongside with the whole Sim Broadcasts team and of course all the competitors who have taken the challenge and raced during the season. So big thanks to all of them to make this possible.

The season 1 of year 2022 has been a bit different than previous RTFR seasons, firsty it was split to 2 seasons instead of a whole year length of 1 full season and then mods where introduced to be regular race machines in every 3rd RTFR race. Selection of mods can be always argued but in the end it is same starting point for all racers. Bringing mods may be also taken as extra challenge among experienced lfs racers and also noticed it might need some extra laps of practise compared to standard lfs race machines. This actually gives opportunity for racers usually racing behind top10 to reach better results if they just invest more time in practise.

Now when season 1 of year 2022 is closed the prize money will be shared for racers who reached them.

Once again on behalf of team WCL we thank all the racers taking part on the RTFR Season 1 of year 2022, a hectic but FUN Season, team RGA as organizing body and Sim broadcasts team for their effort to broadcast the races helping to keep the RTFR one of the most popular leagues in live for speed.

So see you on track !
2022 RTFR XL final standings

12 months of 2022,12 RTFR XL races - all of these now are completed,it's time for a recap! Even if average attendance sank by 3,reaching 27.5 drivers per round,it was still over average attended year, except the june round, where only 18 drivers were ready to deal with almost 1000 horsepower modern F1 car. Round one repeated event's all time highest attendance record of 43,being the 3rd race with fully filled 40 car grid. A total of 80 drivers scored at least a point towards standings, which is 4 less than last year. 21 from these managed to finish in top5 in at least one round, last year there were 24 in this list. 8 different drivers scored a race win this year (2 more than last year),3 of them for the first time in RTFR XL. Interestingly half of them were not very active, finishing outside top10 of final standings. Another fun fact is visible on the graphical podium - all 3 drivers scored their best result with one of the LX cars, standings winner scored his sole win with LX6,both other drivers - with LX4.

RTFR XL 2022 standings winner: [FM]ˆチαtαι
The 2021 STARL champion Fatal certainly increased his presence in RGE hosted leagues this year - he finished 3rd in AWS 2022 standings and won the championship in VERL 2022. Now he added another achievement in RTFR XL,despite winning just a single race out of 12. His advantage was consistency as he finished outside top5 just in a single race he started, scoring 4 second place finishes. In standings he finished the season with comfortable 29 points lead - only in 2 races a winner could score more than that in this dynamic points system. Last year the finn finished just 14th in RTFR XL final standings with a single 5th place finish as best result.

Last year's standings winner R.Kardol was pushed down to 2nd place this year, mostly due his lack of activity,as he did not attend 4 of 12 rounds. Still the dutchman won 3 races (most of the year) and brought home a top5 finish in each of the 8 races he started. Unite had a similar result as his teammate - 8 races,8 top5 finishes, however the 0 in wins column makes the difference. The finn finished twice as 2nd for his best result and scored 3 fourth place finishes, which is most this year. Also for him it's a loss of one position in final standings compared to last year.

Between rest of noticable names is V.Laguckas, who won 2 of first three rounds of the year, but his last race was on april,he ended 8th on standings with effort from 4 rounds. Also S1dus Monkey scored 2 wins this year, setting fastest lap in all 3 races he participated, that equals 11th place in standings. Between sole race winners are also Gábor,Upsas,Mantas and Number.

2022 Season 2 RTFR final standings

The year comes to it's end and with it also the active racing in RTFR is over - this year was halved into 2 seasons, each with own final standings and each with own standings winner. First let's look at some figures - during unscored summer break the attendance in RTFR dropped significantly, but raised back a little with start of 2nd season. The average attendance in the 10 season 2 rounds was 30.5,which is 9 less than in season 1. Three of the rounds had 37 drivers qualifying, but there were never more than 36 on grid - peak was the FOX race at Fern Bay. 81 drivers managed to score at least 1 point in standings (decrease of 18 compared to season 1),5 of them were allowed to enter victory lane.

RTFR 2022 Season 2 standings winner: S1DUS*GáboR
The 2020 RTFR standings winner Gábor returned to the top of the list at the 2nd part of this year. He started the scored season with his only non-top5 finish, raised the performance after that by winning next 2 races. Even if he never won another race again, the hungarian scored 5 more podium finishes. His 4 pole positions and 4 fastest laps tops the chart of each. In season 1 he scored 3 wins, but finished just in 5 of 10 races, taking 7th in standings.

R.Kardol was chasing hard his teammate through the season, but at the end came 2 points short by scoring same points in last round as his rival in the nailbiting season finale. With 4 wins he was the winningest driver, but failed to score top5 finishes in 2 rounds. It's still 2 positions progress compared to season 1. Unite finished 3rd in final standings to ensure S1dus clean sweep - the finn topped 4th place finishers chart with 4 entries in it,scoring one win in the season. At least he repeated the final standings position from season 1.

There are only 2 more racewinners in this season - S1dus Monkey won 2 races back to back, but did not join season finale to try his luck for 3 in row. But the historic race at Westhill was won by TJ,who got the win awarded as higher finishers could not be bothered by track limits and got penalized.

Race Green Events now goes into short holidays and the relay is taken over by Race unGreen Events for the yearly Crashmas on the coming monday. The RTFR racing resumes right with the 1st tuesday of the year, where one of the street legal cars will be run. Also the upcoming year will feature the 300th RTFR in middle of the february. As always the combo will be decided by public voting, which will start later in january. RTFR XL will start on 24th january and will keep the usual 1 race per 4 weeks schedule until november where it will make 6 weeks break to avoid having 2 rounds on same month.
