SIDENOTE: As announced the last "non-standings" race will be a bit different. It will feature the smallest and lightest car of LFS - the MRT and the track is a shortended version of the Westschleife layout. This combo will be very difficult,as it's easy to overestimate the small car's grip,while track at some places is quite narrow. Oh,the lack of reverse gear might end the race for a driver or two...

A true nerve-crackling survival race was offered yesterday - very twitchy superlightweight car was run on highspeed configuration of Westhill's support roads. The shortened and fastened version of Westschleife cut away from it's original track the slowing sections - the Westschleifenring was a furiously fast track without a lot of straight line sections though,while turns offered a lot of dangers. Despite difficlulty level,the bigger half of starters completed all 8 laps,while 16 of 19 starters were classified as finished as they completed the 50% distance requirement.
The RTFR 2020 standings winner Gábor was in charge of race lead once again - he set a new track record in qualifying and led the first 5 laps before losing lead due his own mistake,but retook the lead half a lap later on his run to victory lane. Gábor becomes a 12th driver to score 6 or more RTFR race wins,while his pole position was his 3rd,it was also 15th top5 finish for the hungarian. Spiky was the one,who slipped into lead briefly,but also conceded to one of the tricky turns and rejoined his race back in the 2nd position in which he also finished - 11th top5 finish in his account. After repeating his best qualifying performance (3rd),Mandula could not advance any higher and finished in same position to take his 16th top5 finish,but he also stole the fastest lap of the race and also track record honor from his countryman - his first such achievement in RTFR. A long haired person Mr. Garmatainais finished 4th starting from last quarter of the grid - 12th top5 for him,top5 was closed by another previous winner Arska,who also scored his 12th top5 finish.
With this the clean racing from Race Green Events is over in this year,just the unclean one is left - in 26th december we will bring you the 10th annual X-mas derby "This is Crashmaaas !!!" which will also be broadcasted (info also in same thread). RTFR will return in the very 1st tuesday of next year - 2 weeks after this race. Also the 10th season of AWS is in the planning process,it will change it's raceday from sunday to monday though.
