2nd Safety Car Line: 58 metres before Turn 2

18:00 UTC: Race Start

Event Specifiics

Race:

1. Alerting the Administration: Use @sc to alert administration to look at your car or the section of track you were in when you use the @sc command.

2. Start and Safety Cars: Safety Car will lead the field through 1 formation lap (The Rescue Car will pace the GT2 field under the same conditions). It will lead the field all the way to the pit entry. After Turns 13, the field needs to form into double file, the leader maintaining pitlane speed (with a 10 kph / 6 mph variance allowed). This speed MUST be maintained from that point until the GREEN FLAG.

The FIRST GREEN FLAG message is for GT1; the SECOND GREEN FLAG message is for GT2. We will do our best to clarify "GT1 READY" and "GT2 READY".

On Restarts, the Safety Car will pull away from the field after Motorway On-Ramp. It must not be overtaken before it crosses the 1st Safety Car line.

3. Blue Flag Behaviour: Due to the tight nature and close barriers at this circuit, behaviour from both classes is vital to clean overtaking. GT2s must be ready to yield on corner entry where safe and reasonable to do so, once the GT1s are close enough to be ahead by corner exit. GT1s must not force the issue, and also must be clear when they are approaching a GT2 car.

4. Communications: Each team must have a team representative in our IRC channel, #ndr at irc.gamesurge.net for the duration of the race. Failure to have a representative in IRC when contact is needed will result in the penalty prescribed by the rules. We will also be available in the NDR TeamSpeak server: teamspeak.newdimensionracing.com - Race Control messages will be broadcast to anyone in a channel in the Pit Wall in TS.

5. Driver Naming: Be sure to be in your proper name format (Number Green for GT1; Red for GT2, space, then First initial last name [eg. 00 J. Palmer]. The name must be in WHITE.

6. Tracker: Tracker will be available and running on http://tracker.newdimensionracing.com. Please point out any errors you note to us during the race.

7. Miscellany: Do NOT under any circumstances Shift+P or Shift+S during the race without authorization from Race Control.

After finishing the race, please slow WELL BELOW racing speeds after Turn 1 and proceed around into pit lane. Select any open garage stall and pull in. The top 3 in each class shall report back to Start / Finish Line for podium pose.

Please post any procedural questions in this thread.

Good luck!
Weather Underground forecasts winds of 20-30 mph on Saturday and Saturday night for London, United Kingdom.

We will translate this into Low Wind for Saturday's Race.

NO WIND - Too much negative reaction.

Quote from dekojester :Weather Underground forecasts winds of 20-30 mph on Saturday and Saturday night for London, United Kingdom.

We will translate this into Low Wind for Saturday's Race.

Can't remember seeing any mention of wind for this champ and you announce it just before the race...

And I thought you really wanted this champ to be a success...how wrong was I?
#52 looks guwd
#53 ok.
#9 - IMOL

And it is a briliant idea to have wind in a race... More realistic, also you dont know the wind week before race... You know about it propably on raceday or day before And lol why is it a bad? All the drivers will adapt to it within 10 laps or even less for some so i cant see any problem with it.

Anyway, #30 is correct.

Lets be honest here, I never expected you to understand, you don't even care about the champs you're doing!

Any way it is what it is, so maybe you got it right Tomek and we should follow your lead!
#58 OK.
More wind!!

Okay, fine. Wind taken off.

NO WIND TODAY

I'm sorry to those who like the adaptability wind forces, but I'm done putting up with so much negative reaction any time I put wind on. Yes, it's not the best wind simulation, but in an otherwise static sim, it's extremely hypocritical to have the option to add the dynamic but whinge when it's used as has happened in the entirety of NDR's history.

Sorry Deko, but I think you have misunderstood me, I do like realism and I think wind do add some...but you haven't used it for a long time and you decide to use it a few hours before the race without warning the teams to adapt their sets to all possible situations, so plz just mention in the rule the eventuality of wind during races and we'll make sure to be ready for all the possible scenarios!

So I have no objection against wind being a possibility in future races!
It doesn't matter if it's in the rules or not, there will always be people complaining. So it's not about your particular reply, it's about every reply I've ever received.
Well Deko I was quite surprise to see wind as well but to be honest that just enhance the challenge and as it was the same for everyone that was ok for me. irl there is always wind and at some track like Paul Ricard circuit you never know how strong/direction it will be and teams have to deal with it.

Set criteria on initial rule book. Between xx mph= Low and xx= high etc
Quote from dekojester :The following infractions occured during Q2, they will be applied to the combined qualifying times that set the Grid:

Car 22 - Warning - Reversing on circuit
Car 62 - Incorrect skin: Missing numberboard on bonnet - Loss of one fastest lap
Car 73 - Chat in session - Loss of one fastest lap

Quote from Sobis :Skin updated to fit requirements. #62 will now use this skin.

K deko.maybe you should download that one
Quote from Bmxtwins :K deko.maybe you should download that one

We've cleared our skins folders and confirm it's updated - will rescind the penalty and adjust the grid order as necessary when I return home from work in a bit over an hour.

E: I've just done a quick check, it should start you 15th instead of 16th.
