The online racing simulator
offline multiplayer capabilities?
Hi,

Can I play LFS with multiple players if we're connected on a LAN or WAN, but not to the Internet?

My race team is going to several tracks this season, and at some of the tracks we do not have an Internet connection.

It would be great if we could purchase LFS to use as a training aide. We autocross, so having the editable autocross sim is attractive.

Thanks,
Steve

Yes, you can still race against each other on a LAN without Internet access. Take a look here for more information.

There are 2 important things to note:

1. LFS only accepts LAN IPs in the RFC1918 range.
2. If you are intending racing with S2 content (I know you're licensed a demo user on the account you're posting on, but just wanted to mention in case you get a license) you NEED Internet access to unlock the LFS installation. You would therefore need to make sure any machines were unlocked before you went to an area without Internet access.
I'll check it out.
Thanks for the link. I'll check it out.

Yep, only fair to pay to play.
